yeah saw that, reckon there was a bit of shill bidding going on there. I saw 2 sell for around $70 then that bloke sold 2 and the first was mid $90 and then that one. Lot of 0 feedback bids - very strange!

How about this for a price? Am I naive and do not know what these are worth?

WOW!

Heres one that finished in the UK. Scalextric's 007 set is worth big bucks in good condition. This one just sold for $3880

Interesting .... if you go to the "sellers other items" you'll find another 007 set for sale as well ..... so much for the Rare factor

I see this one on the evilbay all the time and think why would you buy it off ebay when you can pretty much get it from any hardware store...

can believe what this one went for..

Expensive gutter guard!

You can pick it up at bunnings or the like for a few bucks

Cheers Gloveman

Cheers Gloveman, I couldn't believe it the first time I sold a few rolls either, but as long as people want it, I will keep cutting it up and posting it off to them. I always put a "Buy it now" price of $15 which basically covers my time and makes it worthwhile and I've never had a complaint yet. Remember: some people don't have the time, some people love buying from Ebay, alot of customers from o/s so I assume they don't have Bunnings or gutterguard wherever they are.

Anyway, it does work a treat, and looks OK as well. Certainly not as good as the fencing on your track, which looks awesome, but it is fine for me.

When I was selling a load of scrap-booking stuff (that my wife never got around to selling) I noticed a lot of people in the country areas were buying ...

If one person makes a bid, the 'buy it now' price becomes redundant.

To be perfectly honest, with eBay I now just turn off the 'buy it now' items, as it's just become basically an online store for Melbourne Model Raceways/and that hepkat63 guy (who seems to now be selling 'pro painted one of a kind fantasy repaints' - which have some of the shittest masking and bleedthrough I've ever seen - I could do better and I'm an amateur.)

I'll look at the buy it now from time to time as there are sometimes some genuine bargains to be had, but most of the time it's turned off :)

Ok this wins the why would you bother award for the week

About 6 or 7 people bid on this car p[ushing the price to 29.51

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...#ht_3033wt_1167

when you could have just clicked buy it now and bought the car for 29.99

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NEW-SCALEXTRIC-CAR-...#ht_2828wt_1167

I mean why bother the whole bidding thing if all you are going to save is 48p

To start with you got know the highest bidder wouldn't have bid more than 29.99 unless they were complete idiots - therefore why would you bid 29.04 for the car - wow save 95p less than the BIN price... - lol I reckon the last 4 bids were all designed to stop the chap getting it for 22 quid...
