aussieslotter
Thanks Rick. If I go carerra what's the go with lane brain? Are the lcs of carerra similar to ssd? I can get a digital carerra set from red racer. Would I be able to use it's powers supply to convert to scorpius? My track would only need 3 lane brains for 2 lcs and the start/finish line. I don't know how pit bays work in carerra. regards, Ricky yaq ..... If I go ssd could I use the 4 car power supply to run scorpius? regards, Ricky Well to get started you could, but none of them are regulated, nor have adjustable voltage. 3 stooges, 2 apologists and 1 deep endless mess. www.scorpiuswireless.com
TrickyD
Ok. How hard is it to hook up an adjustable, regulated power supply like I would for ssd? I'll ask red racer to show me the piece of track that accepts power in their setup of the set which has 2 cars and of course 2 of their wireless controllers which I have used at red racer and the car they have on the track kept stopping. I think the carerra wireless is next to useless. Hence I would get scorpius and ditch the silly thumb operated version they have. regards, Ricky

Wires go straight from the power supply directly to rails. Its that easy. dangermouse
The racing looks great - as does the track Cam How do you run digital racing compared to analog racing. We might run a 20 lap race, everyone rotates through the 4 lanes. What do you do for digital? Does each driver only have one race or do they have multiple races? I know some people do timed races and the top runners from each heat progress to a final and then they have a B and C final. Just curious how it all works. cheers David
Paul NZ
Rick, Cameron, (sorry, I thought this was Ricks new track at first) Track looks great! scorpius looks so much smoother than the scaletrix system I used awhile back, will have to catch up and have a closer look some time. Yngwie
Had an absolute ball down at Cameron's place on Friday night. Scorpius worked flawlessly all night and was some of the most fun I have had on a slot car track in ages. Loved the 1:24 scale Nascars and the Mini Zs were phenomenal. Thanks for the invite Cam. Looking forward to teaming up with you at Xtremetrax in 2 weeks for the Enduro. John

And yes reliability is something Ive strived for Im sure Cam wont mind me answering on his behalf. David we run a simple round robin. On Friday we had 18 guys turn up and ran 18 heats of 2 min for the SCX Nascars and 18 heats of 3 min each for the 1/24 metal chassis Nascars. Winner is guy with most laps of course. Racing was close with 3 guys finishing on 114 laps in the second race for first. Jimmi, John and Mario you guys did great considering it was your first run. As too Jamie who flew down from QLD for the race.(Jamie finished on 114 laps on race 2) Rick Edited April 28, 2013 by aussieslotter 3 stooges, 2 apologists and 1 deep endless mess. www.scorpiuswireless.com

jimmyslots 1950
As always another great night's racing at Cams,Great to catch up with Jimmi,Mario,Yngowie from the big smoke & Jamie from Qld,don't know what they put in the water up there but they all seem to be able to race slot cars very fast. After racing the 2 house car classes it was great to introduce the newbies to Plafit Mini Z's & from the concentration on there faces you could see they were trying to do the perfect lap & I think there will be a Plafit on the bucket list shortly. Now some Pics of the night. That's a 42" Plasma screen Rick, when I squint like that my grand kids keep telling me to go to Spec savers, would you like me to make an appointment for you? 3 Nascars in the Jask Daniels curve Cheers Jimmy Edited April 28, 2013 by jimmyslots 1950 To finsh first, first you gotta finish
