My car is going and it will be sent over with Triggy's car .......its a bit slow by my normal car standards but is that just the norm for rally cars ? SCX Subaru 4wd its been slow since new ! I think to have it go like my other cars it would need about 17 volts ....Maybe the kids can drive my entry ? The track Im building just needs some braid now and shes a goer , I think I will sneak around to Triggys for some laps and steal some braid ....shhh dont let him know ok

BMR
Got a car for the rally today , weighed up the costs and time left until it goes into the mail bag and decided the old SCX car was out and bought a new car its a lime green Lancer should stand out in any photos , provided its not parked on the lawn Thought to go different as there will be a few red ones most likely. Holty
Got my car ready to go ! 1 last Q? - re wheels - they are stock ATM and protrude few mm's out of rim... whats the rule here ? Check the post at Rally of Oz rules. It makes mention of tyres not prodruding beyond bodywork, but no mention of rims. Perhaps treat the rim protrusion under the same rule as tyres. phoeno29
Gyprock, $14 per car / money to me, car to Gazza, details on this page. Lav, Holty is correct, treat wheels and tyres as one unit and keep them inside the guards. BMR
Heres my proxy car , brand new ready for everyone to thrash around there tracks. It has the Ninco hop in the rear end but as it has suspension I can't really glue the bushes in , anyone got a hint to calm the hop down ? The chassis had a little twist in it so I heated it up in hot water then laid it out on a flat piece of acrylic and glued in the lead . After the glue dried it stayed flat on the acrylic - no more twist ! Reassembled the car with MJK tyres on the rear , left the stock front tyres on it mainly because I had no more MJK tyres to donate to the project. The motor has been swapped for a NC2 but the rest is stock. Its nothing real trick so hopefully it hangs together throughout the rounds. Holty
Its nothing real trick so hopefully it hangs together throughout the rounds. BMR, the green car looks good, and a sensible approach to the mods. Hanging together is probably the key here. I'm sure the variety of track types will dish out plenty of vibrational punishment . To win you first have to survive all of the rounds. Holty Quote My Gruene Hoelle track build My tiny rally track Solar powered slot track
