falcon
Got some more signs up around the old SCMR.... some quick pics... more to come.... Waiting for the Billborad posts to dry...then more of those to go up... will get pics when they're done. Nice looking track Like the Detailing work. Keep it up. knoath
Thanks Falcon... need to paint all the side walls inside and out. Have some more billboards to print off and maybe a few more fence signs too. The black from my printer doesn't like drying very well.... it smudges when you touch it...., so I need to spray some Matt Clear (just picked it up from Bunnings) over the top, then the Dunlop sign and QANTAS fence signs can go up. Would like a few more trees too... better get onto that. Where's that to do list... KarKraft
Keep at it Dick! You've been busy with those shrubs in the first pic. Are they three different shades of Woodland Scenics or did you make your own? That continuous strip of 'Holden' signs gives a good sweeping look to it. (Did you manage to get to Sandown for the great Ford result?) Quote Fairmont Park
knoath
@KarKraft... err... no... (sm*rt*rse!!!) The shrubs are just seat cushion foam put through a blender (add different shades of water based paint to get color). The only Woodlands Scenics on my track are the foliage on the gums (Which I could have used better, next time!) and some fine turf sprinkled over the home made trees for color variation. The rest is all home made from whatever I could find cheaply!!! @beastm, yes they are, but it'll mostly be hidden by billboards by the time I'm finished, so I thought against it... knoath
I have painted the scenery boards sky blue... may add some clouds. Matticus
very, very impressive. Strangely I think my favorite part is the white line along the edge of the track, and the fact it isn't pristine perfect. Looks brilliant. I was having a look at your track at work the other day, and one of the guys walked by and saw it. Now he's coming out racing on Tuesday. Your track has inspired another slot head. Good work. KarKraft
Well done! This one is my fav Dick. The way the Supercheap sign is neatly framed with a white border and the trees gives it that 1:1 feel. Is AM about to punt Janey in the door? knoath
Well, I have to remove all the fences, billboards, trees and gantry after one last blast tonight . The track has been sold and is leaving in the morning. Sad to see her go, I've learnt a lot during the build. I hope the new owner has no dramas with the transport of the track and has many hours of fun with it.
