Slot Race Manager (i Have Asked Verywhere Else!!)

Recommended Posts

I have posted thsi everywhere else, might as well ask here (was going to post this on the SRM forum, but I think Mario hasn't looked at it for a while. At least I know if I want to find a link for Viagra.....).

I have a big race coming up this weekend (10 points if you can guess what thats for  ) & I want to capture as much information as I possibly can. This includes fastest lap times for all racers on all heats (this would mean upwards of 50 fastest lap times per lane)

Can anyone please tell me how many fastest laps SRM can store per lane? Obviously, if its unlimited, I'm fine.

Also, can anyone tell me how or if I can back up the fastest times, so I can clear them out & restore my current fastest times later. Can it also be done without effecting the Driver & car data?

Cheers

Easiest way is to just add and rename another track into your current setup

Install all the drivers and cars under a different Class i.e. P 1 (proxy 1).

In the filter section choose only the proxy class.

Or you could install SRM into another folder and call it whatever (downunder proxy sounds good)

Then install all the setup files and only install the cars and names you want on it

As far as the fastest laps, every time you save a fastest time, it will save the same driver - car combination over any existing time and if you delete a time the last fastest will take it's place

As long as you have a different driver - car ...... you can store as many as you want.

Thanks Gazza. Sounds like a plan. I think I might setup under a different folder. Now, is there a way I can export drivers & cars out so I dont have to enter the drivers/cars names again?

I've asked Mario ages ago if this can be incorporated into the system,he just said that he'd give it the mirror treatment (he'll look into it)

So at this stage no,you'll just have to type in all the names that you want into the new setup

Besides if you plan on running any more proxy races if you give the driver a different code number you can have all the different races over the years.

Thats fine. I think the best & easiest way, now that I think about it, would be to create a new track. I'll have a play tonight

BTW, has Mario let it go to the dogs. His forum is just full of spam & there has been no update in ages. Has he given it away?
