Hey Rob/Terry,

 

Thanks for a terrific night of racing - had a great time as usual - great bunch of guys.......

 

I need to source a few more cars and do some tuning to get them running well, the jag is a perfect example, it has the potential with a bit of weight and all. THe F1 on the other hand will need a new motor or the re-wiring of the controller to get mine to work.

 

Great to have a laugh, a chat and view that mighty impressive collection of Rob's.... very, very nice and it makes me feel so much better about my hobby addiction.

Sorry for the lateness in putting in the results from our last race night,held at Robs back on the 13th,what with no internet,busy with domestic responsibilities and then coming home to get on with some chassis building,excuses,excuses,I know its all a bit lame,but thats the way sometimes,but I digress.......

 

Racing was at Robs place with a pretty ordinary turnout,same hardy lot turning up ,but a little disappointing to not see more bodies on the night.

I have just got my track up and running again after my move up to the mid north coast, I will have to check out if there are any racers up here. I believe there is a track in Forster might have to check it out

As usual a good nights racing,some very close tussles,for me, was my heat with Steve in the Lemans GT,he got me by half a car length after 20 laps,so close but so far.......very impressed with the Scaleauto Merc!

Last night our racing was at Steves' place,been a while since my last report ,your intrepid reporter has had a bout of some sort of recurring lurgy which has laid said reporter a bit low for too many weeks,even prevented work on cars and a lengthy absence from the slot car room,got to be bad for that to happen!

Our first meet for the year was held at Steves' place last saturday night,good turn up, and from all accounts some excellent racing,sorry I could not be there,hopefully I'll be there for the next round.

 

So,we have made some adjustments to our classes for this year,in particular our long running Ninco "NC1" category,where in the past we raced these cars as standard leaving the magnet in place and kept the NC1 in,although we did for a short while use the BWA NC1 motor.

 

So for this year we have decided to broaden the class to include any brand of Sports/GT provided the car runs in a inline setup,motors will now be the BWA NC1 and alternatively the SCX RX42,this allows some of the SCX cars to run in this class,but also allows Carrera and other brands to come into this class,to keep "parity" it was determined that the older Ninco "NC1" cars will still run with the magnet in and those cars can be changed to run the BWA motor.

 

We don't allow SlotIt or NSR in this class

 

The other classes are basically as last year with our F1 class causing us some head scratching as to what direction we take to try to include other makes.........
