Vinno
Mine arrived yesterday and they look great. I am impressed with the detail which looks very crisp. I also think the finish is better than some other resin cars on the market. Thanks Phil

tsmsoccer
So where are the pics of some finished cars???? Phil Phil Best I have done so far is buy some undercoat and top coat paint. Also got the decals from Patto's Phil I was looking to use a Mustang for the chassis. Do you need to cut the chassis to fit in any way. kalbfellp
For those building the XY using the Scalex Mustang chassis here is a little help. The Mustang chassis need cutting front and rear as below. The Mustang front axle also needs to be moved forward, this is how I did the cuts with a scaple. The finished chassis look neat and is a better fit than the BA IMO. I glued the RH mount back in place on the LH side and vice versa. So keep the cut neat and take your time. knoath
G'day Phil. Wondering if you've looked at the HRS chassis by Slot. It, and what would be involved in setting that up for the body? I would imagine you could fit it under quite easily? Regards, Dick Quote Cheers, Dick SCMR build thread Woodbrook Valley build thread "A Man's home is his castle, but his garage is his sanctuary!" Vinno
G'day Phil.Wondering if you've looked at the HRS chassis by Slot. It, and what would be involved in setting that up for the body? I would imagine you could fit it under quite easily? Regards, Dick A lot of us want to run the car against the Scalextric Trans Ams. Having it fit on the Mustang chassis gives good parity and it would be easier for Phil given that he does not make money from this but only covers his costs. I think it would be easy to adapt a Slot.it HRS chassis if you wanted as there is plenty of room in the body.
kalbfellp
Dick: You should have yours by now! It was collected last week. Have a look but I think the HRS will be too wide across the axle to fit. The BA and Mustang work well. The Mustang chassis certainly suits the class of the car. I can supply bodies with now mounts it you want to try fitting the HRS. Phil Quote Phil https://www.hobartminiaturecarclub.com/ Email
blue95
I'm nos sure if it would fit on a HRS. I compared mine to the Slot.it chassis on my Hornby Camaro and think the Falcon body may be too skinny.
Vinno
You may need to do some surgery on the HRS to narrow the track down. I have Dremeled one to fit under a V8 Supercar, but be careful how much meat you remove.
