Boston Slots
I just opened up and set up my SSD Lane Change Challenge set. I wanted to reposition the magnet to the front of the car so I popped out the rear axle. Now that it is back in, the car makes a grinding noise. Did I use the proper technique for moving the magnet? Do I now have to replace the gears?
mr magoo
boston sounds to me like you just havent put the rear axle back in to mesh the pinion gear and spur gear properley. take it out again and make sur all the teeth line up.hope this helps Quote ENTRANT IN THE 2007 DOWN UNDER PROXY SERIES LOLA T70 MK3 B
Boston Slots
Mr. Magoo, Tried that repeatedly. Also, looked at gears under magnifying glass and they look fine to me. Still making noise though.
mr magoo
sounds very unusual, try replacing the magnet and see if that changes anything. If the car was running fine before you moved the magnet then it must be something that you changed. Give it a little oil !!!!! if you however didnt run the car so are not sure if it was noisy to begin with then i would take it to your closest slot shop.what area are you in? Boston Slots
Yes, I did get it sorted..kind of. I returned the car to my local dealer, paid extra and upgraded to a analogue Camero which I plan to chip to SSD digital. Just looking for any chipping information on this car before I do.
