White Lines/track marker lines

Recommended Posts

Need help with something better than what I used. I used 6mm pinstripe tape and it looks good on the straight sections, but no chance it will stay down on corners. I've tried rubbing a plastic edge over it to flatten it, but it just rises back up. Maybe 3M do something of quality? I got this from a car auto shop but its a failure

Think I used 3mm tape from Autoshop and had no problem. Another new track has been done the same. Another way is to paint inset and slot before laying tape but you are past that point. Regards Charles Le Breton

I used an old guide and a paint pen to do my lane markings. Really easy to do.

I'll take some pics tomorrow and post back here to show how easy it is to do.

Cheers

Here are some images of my solution to lane marking.

I used an old flexy guide and a piece of carbon fibre I had to make a simple but effective platform to lane mark with paint pens purchased from Office Works.

Hi Ding.

I like your idea. One of our Wellington tracks have a machine they let people borrow but have never seen .It may be similar. Would certainly be easier than auto detailing tape.

We have just put auto detailing tape on one side but I will make an adapter like you have for next time. See the Taranaki Slot Car Racing Club FB page if you want to look at examples of use on auto detailing tape.

I've 3d printed some paint pen holders that run in the slot. Done two widths - one for Scalextric and one for wood routed:
