aussieslotter
Hi Guys, Today I’ll be posting pics on how to install a Scorpius Lane Brain to a Ninco lane changer supplied by Professor Motor. Stay tuned. Auslot was down when I attempted this. I’ll get onto this in the weekend. Edited July 26, 2022 by aussieslotter 1 Quote Smoke, mirrors and obsolescence. aussieslotter
Ok first step you’ll need a Ninco lane changer as shown, available at the moment from Professor Motor, a Scorpius Lane Brain, hot glue gun, sidecutters, solder and iron, dremmel, and small Phillips head screwdriver. The lane changer comes with solenoids but no electronics. Remove 2 track support webs using side cutters as shown, and hot glue the Lane Brain to the track as shown. Ensure you toughen up the glued area so the glue bonds. All hot glue can be perfectly removed later on both surfaces if required. See stage 2 1 Quote Smoke, mirrors and obsolescence. aussieslotter
Stage 2. Install solenoids as shown then use some fine sandpaper and remove the almost invisible varnish of the wires by gently pulling the paper over the fine wire a few times. Use dremmel to make 2 holes for solenoid (paired) wires as shown. Study the Lane Brain wiring as shown. There’s power in. 4 lots of solenoid driver (paired) wires. However we only use half the wires due to the fact the Ninco LC use sprung flippers to return it. Theres 2 lots of Anti Collision beacons (LEDs) and 2 lots for lane changing. There’s also a liven flipper wire for each flipper. Firstly install the solenoid wires. Strip a good amount of insulation say 10mm and twist before soldering. Pass the wires thru the holes, solder, then stick wires to underside using tiny dabs of hot glue every 20mm as shown. 1 Quote Smoke, mirrors and obsolescence. aussieslotter
Stage 3 install reset switch. Use Dremmel 1/4” barrel grinder to recess switch. Switch will fit within track thickness perfectly. Hot glue wires s as shown switch to track as shown. Next drill holes same as solenoid wires where shown in pic for liven flipper wires that goes to each flipper. Hot glue wires every 20mm. Next use 1/4” copper tape by Ventura to cover each flipper as shown. Run a strip over one side to bottom side as shown and solder wire to copper tape. I used silicone wire for the last 75mm as it’s flexible and won’t break after long use. Install the flipper and spring supplied as shown. No other system anywhere offers liven flipper. Stage 4 next.
