Capri-corn7 146 Report post Posted April 14 Hi all - here is my latest 3D project. Another file I purchased from https://3dprintable.shop/ Holdens are not really my go to but enjoyed this one. HQs are one of my favorites. Body, chassis, guide, and driver printed on an Ender5 in PLA+ - Body Printed flat - Must try elevated one day. Windows & interior tray vac formed - still learning... The Minilite inserts are resin cast from Munter Werks I redrew my go to chassis for the narrower track & as I wanted it to stay side winder I had to modify the rear guards to fit decent width rubber - similar to the real thing. Flares are a little large but once decals go on they should be less noticeable. Just have decals & some final detailing to go and then tuning. Body was thin print so lost a bit of detail. Again as I'm planning to race it in our muscle car class I wasn't too worried about rescribing door jams & panel lines.. #lazy Some pics so far: My ATCC 3D printed pair 2 Quote They are only toys .... until you pull the trigger. gazza 327 Report post Posted April 14 Looks good Printed the same one out as well, played with the slicer program and made it about 5mm wider Did the same for the XY, makes it easier to fit a few different chassis under it All these, and a lot more, have been packed away for the last few months, and are on the bottom of the list for unpacking after i move, but are all still on the to do list 2 Quote Quickly read this post before it is deleted or i turn grey again Gary http://www.facebook.com/Rallyproxy2017

Capri said he "vac formed" the interior and windows I use a 1 1/2 or 2 ltr coke bottle, 3 ltr if it's a wide body Quote Quickly read this post before it is deleted or i turn grey again Gary http://www.facebook.com/Rallyproxy2017
Capri-corn7 146 Report post Posted April 15 Hi Terry. Made a vac form box and carved shapes out of balsa. Not perfect as still learning. Can do you a set. Send me a DM. Cheers. Quote They are only toys .... until you pull the trigger.
kalbfellp 87 Report post Posted April 15 Terry I Also have a mould for windows for Monaro and 4 door, HQ. I printed the Monaro a bit wider so the flares look more like the 1: 1 car. We only allow a restricted rear width to try and keep at the cars compeditive. Quote Phil Hobart Miniature Car Club Tassie Resins Email
Capri-corn7 146 Report post Posted April 20 (edited) Have now got the decals on now so can call this one done. These are Patto's peel and stick which a) are easy to apply & reposition & b) good for cars that get a lot of use. These ones were a bit tricky as they were the 'full side of car' ones which include the car's colour. I needed to trim them all close to the edges to remove the background colour.
