2021 Touring Car Proxy Round 3 - Dave's track

Recommended Posts

We were supposed to round this round last week but circumstances etc.

This coming Sunday, 1pm local time on Dave's track.

fetch?id=1666207&d=1601520740

It's another power track, suits the cars with boxer motors.

Cheers

Paul

You're spoiling my dramatic announcements.

Yes we ran the race yesterday and the favourites didn't even make it on the podium.

Of all things an American car won the race................

I think that may have been my best result yet :) (Not a very high bar admittedly!)

Thanks, as always to those involved in hosting & running the event and well done to all the entrants. It sounds like there are a lot of evenly matched cars.

Congratulations to Lance for the win and Jimmy and Dave for the podium finishes.

Good to see so many cars improve their lap time from last year too.

May the downforce be with you.

My car was the fastest, easiest to drive and still finished 1 1/2 laps behind Lance.

If I wasn't one of the drivers I'd demand a retrial. :D

Thanks for the run Paul & helpers Congrats to Lancelot & Dave P on their well earned podiums & a fine 5th to Sticks in a very good car that is getting better all the time.

Nice to see the comparison to last years car so all my retuning is going in the right direction, new lighter trick chassis,New set of MJK's & 1 tooth off the pinion.

Don't rush the next round Paul, let me celebrate for few more days,I don't get to do it that much but win loose or draw I'm going to have a nice glass of Red tonight:rolleyes:

Cheers Jimmy:D

Not sure I understood what you were saying about my car. Was there an issue with not enough or to much brakes?

MOPAR or NOCAR YES IT'S A HEMI

Your car rattled and shook when I put the power down in corners.

My driving style is max brakes coming into a corner then slowly apply the power (in the corner) and watch the car so the tail doesn't come out too far. Even with applying power smoothly (straight after breaking into the corner) your car would make a rattling sound and act like it wasn't happy. Most noticeable in the tight hairpin.

It's on my to-do-list to check if anything has come loose.

Cheers

Paul

Thanks for all the results and data. I loved the post-race comments on my Honda...."No comment". That actually says a lot! The next car just needs to be the same, but better allround!

And on that note, I have just got my car for next year, so no changing of the 'touring car' aspect to this series please!

Congrats to the podium finishers. Lance so happy for you finishing on the pointed end of the field. Sorry my car is not very good … looks like it goes well in a straight line but does not transition well in and out of turns.  Paul does it appear to be a tire or weight issue?  Comments welcome…even if not complimentary.  Thanks again all for letting me play.  Aloha Dale
