I stumbled across this old video of a NINCO GT enduro that was held at Mobile Raceways (Mr Slotcar) in Dandenong Victoria. I cant remember it, but I took the video footage so was there

Sheesh Shane,  history...

What's the race software? Startline ?

haha no idea, funny you say that. I dug my startline system out today as I was thinking of setting it up to run analogue on the suzuka track up here, but I'm missing pieces. I can imagine getting them now is impossible :o

This was my start gantry with start lights and led's. I had to cut the cable for the start lights as it was wired through the track. I cant find the end that plugs into the box. I think there are 4 wires in it.

I don't remember the Ninco Enduro but I do remember running the Slot it and NSR Enduro's at Mobile Raceway on that track.

I am fairly sure the software was the commercial version of the Johnson system that was also used on the King track.

The stereo plugs on the Startline box are for track power, you will need male RCA plugs if you want the software to turn the track on and off.

The LED's in the gantry that light the sensors can be powered from any source, it doesn't have to come from the box.  I don't know anything about the start lights, if you can't work it out you just need to put the monitor somewhere in front of the drivers so they can watch the lights on the screen.

the NSR enduro was 8 hours (I think?) 4 drivers per team 15 minutes each per lane x 8?

I have our team car, setup by jazzbell

I spoke with Ian today to try and work it out. He is going to send me pics of the RCA connections so I can try to get it hooked up again. I dont know why but I set it up on my table in the shed. It seems to work, but keep reverting back to 2 lane for some reason?

The races were 6 hour but yes there were 4 drivers, must have been 45 min heats with just over 11 min driving stints per driver per lane.

The RCA plugs on the box probably connect to the normally open contacts on a relay, you just need to cut one of the wires going to the track and put one end on one side of the male RCA and the other end on the other side of the RCA and plug it into the box.  When the software fires up and turns on the box the relays will operate and there will be power on the track.

Did you ever run your old track without the software running as I wouldn't mind betting that the switches on top of the box are to bypass the relays so that you can power the track without having the computer on, I did the same thing on my track.

Yes Steve put the switches on to bypass the relays. What ever happened to Steve?

I’ll have to go to jaycar and get some parts to make it all happen, it was pretty bullit proof when operational and reliable. It may have been basic but did what it needed to. I look forward to getting it running again.

I don't know what happened to Steve, he didn't come racing for a while but he would do that occasionally, then his email stopped working and I figured if he wants to contact he he knows where I am.

Awesome

Not looking so awesome unfortunately. Appears to have not made the trip south when we moved I am guessing I figured it was no longer going to be of any use. Had to get ruthless with a few things I had way too much stuff that would sit in a box for the rest of my life.
