Sometimes even old Auslot gets some scoop information and this one is an Aussie ripper.

At the time one of the most hated race cars in Australia as it hurt our poor little feelings when the thoroughbred Nissan Skyline GTR beat our own Holden Commodore and England's Ford Sierra but now an icon in it's own right. Ah the good old days when racing cars looked like road cars with stickers.

No release date yet but keep your eyes and wallets open for this one as I have already put in my order.

Took me by surprise when I heard it was going to be a slot.it release as well. Legendary car, loved it but also loved to see it beaten (eventually dropping to 18th place) in 1990 by the Grice/Percy Commodore (my favorite Bathurst 1000 to watch) What an awkward win in 1992, difficult to forget that one, but very entertaining to listen to recent interviews with Skaife and Richo about that podium presentation!

Very glad to see it as a slot car... Not just because it was a great racing car but also because of the Aussie development of the car by Gibson Motorsport, I read that it raised some eyebrows at Nismo whose approach was quite different.

I never liked them in their day because of the Holden ford thing but now I absolutely love them.

Until recently the company  company I worked for had a V8 supercar that Brad Jones managed. For the last 5 year (not including this year) I was at all the events. Over the years I have met a lot of the old warriors so I might have see if I can get it signed. I have a real 1978 Camaro and am going to drop the glove box off the Brad Jones so he can get Kevin Bartlett to sign it for me.

So I get an email confirmation today that my order for the Skyline is official and due in August September this year. I am very much looking forward to this one and will have to get some Scalextric Sierra’s and M3’s set up with Olifer chassis in preparation.

@Vinno I have two PCR chassis coming for my original dick Johnson Sierra's that I will be grafting the PCR chassis in. When my  Slot.it Nissan gets here hopefully the Sierra's will be sorted. I have a couple of M3's that I might have to give a birthday present as you are doing. :-)
