Pauls Slots 4 Report post Posted November 8, 2020 Hi all. Have purchased a Chrono SRC M23 (kit) Looking to set up as track car. Has any one done this as yet. Looking to see if there are issues with the front axle and or steering. I would think an axle may be better, than the steering system that is supplied with the car.. Also though some one was producing a chassis to accept an axle set up. See like a fairly well detailed kit with every thing. Thanks, Paul Quote Try Harder, if you dont fail your not trying hard enough
big den 10 Report post Posted November 9, 2020 Hello Paul, Having read the review of the ready-to-run version SRC M23 in SLOT MAG 29 and noted the comment 'most expensive plastic slot ever', I think you'd be quite brave to consider it as a track car. Here in Tassie we usually lock the steering on Fly F1s and even then I have suffered a suspension failure on my Hesketh 308 while just driving around the track - no bingles or contact with other objects. I think that there are many cheaper models that would make good 'track cars'. Den
Pauls Slots 4 Report post Posted November 15, 2020 Thanks Den, Yes they are expensive. I picked up one of the Chrono kits. Needs full assembly. Thought it was worth a look. As you say the front tend is a bit light on. Have seen on here at some time a retro fit front clip/ chassis. this converts to a solid axle. If I could get one of these modification kits it may be a good thing. Cheers, Paul Quote Try Harder, if you dont fail your not trying hard enough
