Peter Gunn 84 Report post Posted May 9, 2020 The king is dead long live the king , yep Little Richard is now rocking with the band in the sky, saw him twice live and met him at the Finsbury park Astoria in the early 60,s , he along with Chuck Berry are responsable for me taking up the guitar all those years ago . One of the best live performers in my opinion in those days , had it all a great backing band and some fantastic rocking songs, so tonight i am raising a glass or two of the amber liquid to one of those that influenced my life, RIP King. gazza 77 Report post Posted May 9, 2020 Sad news, but his music lives on, never saw him but saw Chuck Berry in the 70's when he was out here, great show, just about all the rock and roll pioneers are gone now i think.
