ZackM 8 Report post Posted April 3, 2020 (edited) I finally finished this car last night after working on it on and off for quite a while. I heard great things about the Sloter Lola's, unfortunately mine was pretty poor when I got it. None of the wheels were round, and the bushing carriers were really bad. So I decided to put a proper chassis under it! Used an older 312pb chassis I had as a parts car. Materials used: .032" front and rear pans .063" side pans .055" main chassis rails WRP guide tongue Samson Classics Guide Tube Pod is reamed and I used 2-56 screws and nylocs to hold it in. It sits on top of 3mm thick rubber washers. Since this car isn't the best "scale" appearing car anyhow I was more focused on performance. So I installed a paper interior, with a hand painted driver. It needs a little more motor, but it handles very well! ps. I am away the pinion isn't full meshed, since I intend to change the motor I will fix it then! miveson 18 Report post Posted April 11, 2020 Cracking car, I'd love to see it with the body off so see how the plates are attached to the pipes. Very deceptive with that bend in the silver pipe. Quote Slot Car Photos V8 Tipping Competition
