Peter Gunn
The car above is the white kit by Thunderslot of the Can Am Lola, in this kit you get quite a lot of extra parts to do a number of body types i chose the top exhaust version , the spray paint is Hycote double acrylic Rover Inca Yellow, decals by C & C , wheels old set of Sloting plus, chassis is the hard version , fully sprung , fitted with ball raced rear bearings , motor is Pirana 25 K fully ballraced motor , gears are slot it 11x 34 ,tyres are NSR classics 20.5 x 10's tread scrubbed of , front tyres are Slot it C1 . My first go at trying to put pictures on here , many thanks to Mark for his guidance.
SlotsNZ
Show them all off Alan, you're doing lovely work You can also add text before and after the pictures in the one post, it's just a case of getting used to writing what you want, choosing where you want the picture, and placing the cursor at that position before clicking on the picture icon to add them. Peter Gunn
Chuckle thanks for the rename Mark , Peter Gunn or Keith will normally do, well what shall we post next i think the Thunderslot Mclaren M6 might be of interest , another white kit , and plenty of odds and sod's in this one , guessing as there is a wing in there and a carb cover these will be on future releases , but i used them on this hot racer. Once again the spray can is Hycote double acrylic love this stuff and will in future just use it , big range of colours as well this time it,s a VW Orange did black trim stripes over it and fitted Staff's anodized black wheels, really like these wheels have a fair number of different colours on cars now. The chassis is a hard one , fitted again with ballraces for the rear axle , geared at 11x34 with slot it gears, motor is another Pirana 25 k ballraced motor these things are so smooth to operated lovely torque range and B fast , rear tyres are once again NSR classic scrubbed ultras. On the track unbelievably quick, these cars modified go to another level , i only have a Carrera track which is not very big , but the fun of driving something lightning quick is a joy
Peter Gunn
The 3rd one is actually the first one of this trio i did , another white kit from Thunderslot this time the Lola T70 Coupe, the body colour is Hycote double acrylic Ford Diamond White and it,s the first time i have been pleased with a car i,ve spray painted white , this paint is really the reason i am getting these sorts of results now. The rest of the car is the same format as the other 2 slight difference is the guide, which is a NSR deep wider one, , and the wheels are the staff blue anodized ones, body trim is a triple stripe in dark blue over the top of the car . Again this chassis/ motor combination like the others is very quick and so smooth , these 3 cars are 3 the missus does not drive chuckle. Sports Racer
Geez Keith but you're good at this. Wish I had the skill and patience to produce cars that look as good as yours. Quote May the downforce be with you.
Peter Gunn
Thought i would show this car which was the first of the current crop i,ve been painting , it,s a Policar Ferrari 330 P4 kit which has parts in it to make a 412 P as well. As far as colours go not a lot of choices for the P4 but one i did like was David Pipers green 412 P, so finding the paint that looked about right was the first job , settled on Hycote double acrylic Ford Modena Green and it's not come up to bad. Peter Gunn
Gas my next car is a Ferrari 330 P4 in the white and blue stripe N.A.R.T. car , already lightly sprayed the body in Hycote double acrylic Ford Diamond White , didn't want to over spray it , found white is a right B to get right with a spray can just needs a very light touch and a slow sweep, i'll get Mark to post the finished article when i get to it , waiting for a good day to spray the Mclaren Elva first . Have that car i think the yellow one is finished a bit better than the red one as regards panel fits , the kit is quite difficult to get right , took me nearly a week of fiddling.
