Terry
I know there are a couple of options with wire bending tools, one from K&S and one from NGeo, The trouble is I cannot determine which one is best suited to me. The K&S version is a "mini" type which needs to be secured in a vice, but I'm not sure about the NGeo version. Do any of you have any experience in these and what are your opinions? I'm over using pliers, too inaccurate and too hard (at times) Your opinions are appreciated, as in the past you have always come through with the right advice, Thanks in advance Terry
kalbfellp
Terry I have tried several bending jigs and even built a couple my self. But now only use two different sizes of these Pliers, made for jewelers. Quote Phil https://www.hobartminiaturecarclub.com/ Email

Slo
Hi Terry. I have the K & S bender but find the radius on the bends is too big Not familiar with the NGeo one. But I have a Backtrack wire bender from AB Slotsport, and found it very useful for repeat multiple bends but this is also limited in that it cannot bend perpendicular to previous bends and can only bend to the right. However, It did get a lot of use and still comes in handy for the occasional repeat bends https://abslotsport.biz/page10.html Scroll down almost to the bottom of the page, Its a bit exy given the Aussie dollar rate Like Phil, have made jigs but found the wire bending pliers from the metal forming pliers set covers most bends I do. https://www.hobbytoo...liers-set-of-4/ https://www.mytoolst...ET-OF-4%29.html I paid about half that when they were on special. Pity the wire benders don't come alone. Though the others do get some use. Cheers

Terry
Thanks Steve for the link, some good things there and the hand pliers may be my best option, I've seen those pliers on Hobbytools web page SLO1 but was a bit put off with the price for the 3 piece set, I'll have to keep my eyes out for the to go on special. Pity you aren't a bit closer John,I would certainly take you up on that offer, (of course it is Rgeo) can't imagine how petty I would be if you were just around the corner!
