hi guys, going way back to 1984 when 1/24 Parma cars ruled, the typical patronage at the one and only track in Adelaide back then was like this......

8 lanes

Tues night racing. local series

Round a - 8 drivers
Round b- 8 drivers
Round c- 8 drivers
Round d- 8 drivers
(occasionally) E - maybe 3 or 4 in this round.

so with that many drivers rolling up on one night, we used to finish around 1.00am for just a local weekly series!!! the last days of 1/24 (oldschool - my favourite) was early 2000's and my memory recalls about 3 or 4 rolling up..... it wasnt long before that single remaining track folded of course.

Fast fast forward to 2013, and its 1/32 in multiple garages across Adelaide and the few commercial centers, with 20 plus regularly at weekly series.

Fast fast forward again to 2019. seems that 10 is the magic number now in Adelaide.

whats the deal in your end of town?

We get anywhere from 11 to 17 most race meets at Syd's place (WASCRG).

I haven't raced much myself this year due to other commitments but I'm hoping to get back in the swing of things this week.

The numbers have been good most years I've been racing at WASCRG since I started in 2012, topping 21 one night.

Hi Mattcrackers and Syd.

21 you would need to take your bed. At least Syd has plenty of room. What's for breakfast Syd.

Yeah 21 was really a full house, good night and plenty of racing though.

Probably the one time you'd complain that there were to many marshals, hands going everywhere.

May the downforce be with you.

Between 7 and 10 for 1/24th model car racing at our 3 tracks in Toowoomba. It varies over the years. We did have highs of 20 a few years ago. Interestingly that was with 1/32 plastic car nights..
