Wobble
Along with a couple of other 77-78 Firebirds I received this partly glued snap together MPC (or similar)1/32 kit that had the rear bumper and most of the innards missing. Needless to say the innards aren't necessary and a quick fill job of the rear and slightly wider rear arches allows it to fit quite nicely on a Scaley Camaro chassis already fitted with Scaley GT40 wheels that was floating around. I figured I better give it a bit more of a track look with a silly great shovel front end.. Edited May 16, 2019 by Wobble

charlesx
Hi Wobble/Bram. Great looking car. Good to see something different from all the Camaros. There are quite a few Scaly cars of this era but not sure how many have been trailed. One of our new locals is quite keen on a Dodge Challenger so would be to see that. Should get one of the others myself. I like to see a range of different cars and like a bit of a challenge. It is so easy to go with the favoured car but it does look a bit boring. SlotsNZ
We will all have the time for "shame bleaching" over the coming weeks. I think the "4 week lock down" was a soft way of easing us into it. I am fortunate to have enough project material to last until Marvin the paranoid android has rotted away in the car park at that certain restaurant. "life, don't talk to me about life..." slotmadmac
Looks good Bram; nice stance and those wheels set it off. Quote Podiums are for short people.
Wobble
Mark, you asked about the chassis on Mac's thread. It's just a regular Scaley '69 Camaro chassis (same wheelbase as MPC kit) modified to 3 post with Ninco guide and NSR Braid. On the test bed the chassis runs as smooth as some Slot.it's I have. It's a nice day out so I've just given the body another coat of Tamiya TS50 Mica blue and hopefully this time it'll dry without turning to custard. Wobble
Paint now dry and just needs glass and interior. No headlights in this kit so a couple of Monogram T70 grills cut down will suffice.
Capri-corn7
Nice work Bram - those grills look mean as... Quote They are only toys .... until you pull the trigger.
