Agreed, bad news is that Driver#8 and Desert400 are the same person and so its really 22 entries.

Cheers,

Tony.

There's only two questions:

1. What direction do you go
2. What's the Lap Record?

This is my entry for this year now on its way to Mel.

This Metro and the Audi are not official entrants BUT modified car both with Vac Formed interiors to to evaluate IF allowing lightweight interiors will make the e two cars more compeditive with the RS200.

Any feed back from Hosts about these two would be helpful. Thank you.

Picked cars up from PO yesterday Phil. Looking good thank you. ;)

I'll give them some laps later (and all other cars) to make sure they are all ok after travel, and some brief comments on their performance

Hi Aquakiwi.

Sorry to hear that. Enjoy our Kiwi banter. Hope all is OK with you otherwise. Starting to look like I may be the only Kiwi although I am still hoping Branco will make it

Thanks for that Aquakiwi. Pity as based on the past performance of your car you may have been a major contender for Top Dog.

Looking like it may be the last year for Scaly Group B's but it will be interesting to see how the test cars go.

The two test cars I have prepared have vacformed interiors, other than that they comply with the rules.
I just wanted to see if these two could be easily altered to try and keep up with the RS200.

May be a smaller field but looking forward to seeing some action on the rally circuits , rally seems to be in the doldrums in slot cars now with hardly anything new for sometime.

With no round/s in NZ this series, if Aquakiwi and Branco could get their cars here by the last week in May, they would catch the second round and possibly the first.
We are still waiting on 2 - 3 cars in transit which are taking longer than usual. Mail seems to have been very slow from over seas this year
With the first two rounds in Sydney we may need to massage the start dates a little without affecting the overall schedule.

We do not normally do this before the event but due to the delays I will run a "reccy" round on my track with the cars we have later this week. The rally section of my track set up hasn't seen a car for 6 months or so. So the braid needs a bit of a polish

I agree Keith,
Next year if the WRP goes ahead, the series will need a complete makeover.
That in mind "Ember" commented early in the SCX series, that the success of the entries and available tracks was greatly due to affordable car prices and very little work needed on tuning a car.
Car and postage prices have increased since those days. And sadly many of the available tracks have fallen by the way side since the early days.

Have a few ideas Mel based around the now defunct OZ rally series , guessing quite a few people have cars in their boxes from that era , and still possible to buy the same cars under the Scaleauto banner, and there are still cars available under the MSC heading as well as Scalextric and Avant noticed Pendall's still have stock of all of them, and we can still run the old SCX cars in it at the same time.
Also liked the cars being inline and the 2 classes in the OZ the classic class and the more modern class, but that's for a chat i expect at the end of the current series. :)

Keith The Oz Rally is not defunct, just in extended recess!
We=have lost most of the host tracks that were involved.
It is really only us and Sydney now still involved in Proxy Rally Racing.
With smaller fields and less tracks maybe a combined series of some sort.

Update after Post office visit yesterday

Had my fingers crossed - but No cars arrived yesterday
The scheduled 1st round will commence this month, with or without missing entries
We now have 4 tracks in Sydney so there will be very little delay between the 1st 3 (or 4) rounds.
With no round in NZ this series  , cars will then head of to Hobart before jetting off to Scotland.
