bov
Hi All, Firstly - having driven a number of Dale's proxy cars - he'd be a strong contender, probably..... When I first registered my interest in entering the proxy, I also offered to host a round on my Scaley Sport / Ninco rally track. I'm still keen to do both, but I'd like some feedback if the track is felt worthy to be a part of this prestigious series. I promise you - I won't be offended if it's not. That would just save me some resources bringing it up to spec. I would be copper taping the track and updating the power / control from the Scaley Powerbase / Wall Wart to a variable regulated lab power supply, proper control plug base with reversing switch to allow two 'stages'. Anywho - this is how it currently looks, thoughts? And if you think it's carp, and I shouldn't bother updating the electrics ( the design isn't changing... ) - don't be shy in saying so.... On the other hand, if you think the proxy might gain something from a 70' lap of 'something a bit different' - well, say so too, and I'll put the wheels in motion.... Edited March 12, 2019 by bov Quote Cheers, Tony. There's only two questions: 1. What direction do you go 2. What's the Lap Record?

Scuderia_Turini
Hello Tony/bov, When was your track last used? Looks don't matter in my opinion but it needs to be reliable and have reliable timing system Leo Quote Like Scuderia Turini on Facebook Please Vote Up my postings - green arrow at top right :- )

Desert400
Hi everyone, I'm struggling to find a sprung guide that will fit either the Slot.It aperture or the Scalextric. I bought a Scaleauto sprung guide (push-in not screw fit) but it's much too wide for the Slot.It holder - it goes in the Scalextric one fine but then slops around in all directions. Is there a recommendation for something that will fit the Slot.It converter please?
kalbfellp
I used a piece of thin styrene tube to bush the pivot hole..Had to sand the outside of the tube ti be a nice fit and nit o tight. I would recommend using the Scale Auto guide that does not have the pointed front, they seem to cause problems. 1 Quote Phil https://www.hobartminiaturecarclub.com/ Email

Scuderia_Turini
Hello Desert400, If the problem is that the guide shaft is too small in diameter, I once used a piece pf a plastic drinking straw to take up the slack. I cut the length of straw, then cut a piece out of it vertically and wrapped it around the shaft. The resulting sleeve fitted snugly around the shaft and so the slack was taken up. Hope this makes sense. The vertical slice was to allow the piece of straw to reduce to an appropriate diameter/circumference. charlesx
Hi Ontheflipside/Mel. Tyres are fitted and sanded, a little weight added (1.9gms hopefully in the right place), a little touch-up paint and even a new set of braids. After two years and quite a bit of home running the originals were getting decidedly worn. Intend to try at one of home tracks tomorrow but hopefully after that it will be ready to go.
