Expression of Interest to enter

We are looking for those interested in entering a car in this years Proxy.

There have been discussions with most of the regular track hosts re rules etc. Most have agreed that the

rules need to be adjusted and/or sharpened to make the series as even as possible, which we will do.

There is also an option of two or three classes

The Scalextric model cars will remain the same as the last two years.

There will be an overall limit of 24 entries with preference to 2018 entries and regular Auslot members.

All we want to know at this stage how many entries are there likely to be.

The regular track hosts have all stated that they are interested and will be entering a car.

The proposed rules will be posted over the next two weeks

Replies here are only an expression of interest at this stage

Confirmation of entry will commence early February

Hi Mel. Count me in please. Probably the Metro again as I would hate to see event become just a Ford RS200 affair. Regards Chas Le Breton

I will go round again, Metro again, can't let that nice Chas chap have it all his own way.

Talking about Chas, will you be wanting to host part of rally New Zealand this time around?

Same question to aquakiwi?

You have no excuses left!!!

Hi Mel,

If you would consider a long term Auslot member, but a 1st time WRC Proxy entrant - I'd like to throw my hat in the ring. I can also offer to host a round here, I have a 70 foot lap length 1 lane Scaley Sport rally stage ( complete with Ninco 'loops' ) - that might provide a bit of a challenge. A couple of longish straights and a very twisty infield, but not much in the way of elevation changes....

At least I'm also in Sydney.....

Oh yeah, and I'd enter a Scaley Ford RS200 I picked up from the Hornby Visitors Center in the UK...

Hi Mel

I have been in the wilderness for far too long. Count me in with an RS 200 I have lying around.

Cheers

Hi all,

Just to follow up from the Slotforum thread, I have added my name to the list (Driver#8) and would be grateful to be allowed to run a repainted C3500, which is the sidewinder Quattro but the earlier S1 shape rather than the be-winged E2. As you can see the chassis and running gear is identical.

My main reason for running this car is that it was there's more of a choice on correct period liveries for it. Would be grateful to know if the body is acceptable though as I know you've only run the E2 in previous years.

This is the intended car to run:

And this is the paint job:

Many thanks!

As I have mentioned on SlotForum.

I think you will need to research that the S1 competed in the same years as the RS200,Metro and Lancia as that period is what this Proxy is based on. Group B 1982 to 1986.

Hi Phil,

Yes, it debuted in Corsica 1984 and ran as the primary works car until the Olympus Rally of 1985 when the E2 version took over. It stayed in the front line until the end of the Group B era in 1986, making the last appearance of a Quattro in the world championship at the RAC Rally that year.

Great  . Added to the list As PG suggested - adding a sprung guide is almost necessary
