Storm68
Just wondering what oil and grease everyone is using on spur/pinion gears and wheel bearings. I have Ballistol and Inox MX3 can I use these on the wheel bearings? I know only certain stuff can only go on certain parts so I thought it best to ask before I use the wrong stuff. munter
For RTR cars I use Labelle 108 as it is meant to be anti corrosive to plastic parts...for metal chassis I use Glidex. I dont believe there is too much that can go wrong by using a different lubricant. Main rule I follow is to use as little as possible and I never grease the motor groove in the crown wheel(bronze slotit). I also rarely if ever lubricate gear teeth I also recommend washing out the moving parts with fuelite and starting your lubrication regime over again.. Sorry for using "I" five times. 1 Quote John Warren Slotcars are my preferred reality
