Ontheflipside
Bit of a shake up in the field Alexis. Thanks for getting Mati Beach underway. Certainly a sad story and memory there. slotcarmann
Thanks Alexis. Pleased you held it as a tribute to those who were lost at Mata: a really awful story. It's hard for us to imagine what it must have been like. What on earth happened to Barbs' car...? Mind you, mine wasn't much better.... Well done to cars 4; 59 and 74 on the podium. alexis in greece
I will post photos tomorrow and explain the strange results. In general the track contains a sandy part (glued of course) and cars with no or small guide vertical travel suffered,Barbs car could not complete a lap without offs no matter how slow it went.To make things worse the track contains a pond, dry for the moment, and the Audis ,with protruding front spoiler hit the ground exiting the pond. Ontheflipside
Is my car ok Alexis.... Probably the smaller (non original) rims on the front. See Alexis's comment "To make things worse the track contains a pond, dry for the moment, and the Audis ,with protruding front spoiler hit the ground exiting the pond." Could have been your cars problem. kalbfellp
Rossco the wheels on your car look like Metro wheels to me! But I think they may be the same size as RS wheels, just sanded tyres from what I remember. I remember commenting on the guide one one of the Stsges down here. Peter Gunn
Looking at the off's Rossko could be guide or clearance issues, congrats to the pods and a very nice thought Alexis as regards the tribute, definitly one of the worst things i saw on the news as all that was happening . alexis in greece
Rosskos problem is not clearence, just the guide.Regarding Mati it is worse now that they have cut most of the trees (just to give you an idea how dense the trees were you could not see the sea from half a mile and it is not a flat area) and revealed the burned down houses its a horror. It is the place where our summer home is and we were lucky enough to be absent that day and suffer minor (to the tune of 30k euros) damage.I was in the team of volunteers visiting the hospitalised injured and you cannot imagine the horror stories i llistened to.Some of them (i think 15) are still in hospitals. And we had to fight our useless goverment to cover the in hospital special nurses and treatment expenses as well as physio, psychological support ointments and bandages for post hospitalisation care and when they finally approved it they had not the money to pay.Sorry guys to bother you with our troubles but i had to take it out of me.Both new stages were planned to be built in august but the events delayed me and Mati Beach was finished (or close to be) Saturday .Today in the afternoon we will run Nick's red lane (previous one was black) .reversed Feedback (comment stuck in the sand means the car could not negotiate sandy corners): 2 bottoming out 4 Class of its own 5 unpredictable 6 Stuck in the sand 7 Planted 8 If it was better balanced it would be a killer, had a tendency to roll 11 Stuck in the sand 13 Stuck in the sand & front spoiler bottoming out in the pond 17 Planted 19 Stuck in the sand, very fast on tarmac 20 Stuck in the sand 27 Stuck in the sand, very fast on tarmac 33 Stuck in the sand 35 Stuck in the sand & front spoiler bottoming out in the pond 36 Stuck in the sand & front spoiler bottoming out in the pond 46 Not enough vertical travel of the guide 54 stuck in the sand 59 Planted 62 front spoiler bottoming out in the pond, very fast on tarmac 69 stuck in the sand,if it was better balanced it could be a killer, very fast on tarmac 74 Planted 88 unpredictable everywhere Cars 88&69 need a braid change will be done before todays stage Car 36 front screws were completely loose held in place only by blu tack fixed Car 59 digital door balast was hanging loose and came off ,glued back and maybe it is the reason for the strange noise on Nicks track which i thought was coming from the superglue covered tires if this is the case its a contender Edited October 15, 2018 by alexis in greece

Ontheflipside
Would youlike me to run another wet round? Interesting SS. That would get the cobwebs out of some cars. Looks like my Audi has shite itself well and truly now If no stage 3 for this round, another round would be ok thanks Alexis. Last round (possibly last 2) due here in Sydney late November. So posting cars by the end of next week would be ideal Quote I can't believe that I wanted to grow up Mount Salt Panorama Track Combined Road and Rally Track built near Salt Pan Creek Padstow - Sydney A quick build rally track 2017 WRP Round 11 at Mt Salt Panorama https://i128.photobu...zpss7sqiwfj.jpg
charlesx
Thanks for the great run, report, photos and car comments Alexis. As I think I have said before the Metro tends to be very high/top heavy so this makes it tippy. Not sure whether this is what you refer to when you say balance or are you referring to F/B weight distribution. Latter not something I normally worry about. It is what it is. Despite this however one of my better runs. Have certainly enjoyed this whole WRP Proxy series but there have certainly been some ups and downs. slotcarmann
Thanks Alexis Good to see that there is still competitive rallying in Greece. I've enjoyed watching the progress of the various stages and there are some cars which clearly cope well with all types of stage. Well done to those guys on the set-up! I've learnt that we need to look again at sprung guides for next year...! I had tried one but had too many offs on flat tracks, so had canned that idea. Seems I might have been wrong - and the cars need some development in that area...! Must try and cut out the yo-yo-ing. So....how will everyone get on in the final rounds in sunny Australia...? Looking forward to the antipodean rounds...!
