Orakei Racer 12 Report post Posted May 16, 2018 (edited) Minimum front wheel and tyre width of 7mm TREATMENT OF REAR TYRES WITH CHEMICALS OR OILS IS STRICKLY PROHIBITED Hi Dave, just some clarification required on these 2 rules. Is the Min 7mm width relate to the contact part of the tire to the track or the overall width of the tire? The no treatment rule - does that then preclude using Fuelite or turps to do a final polish after truing the tires? Peter Gunn 108 Report post Posted May 17, 2018 Oh that's new to me David didn't think anything was allowed apart from gluing and truing , is that one of the reasons Orakeis cars always seem to be very competative , he's using fuelite and turps all the time seem to remember someone else mentioning something about this in the can am not to sure but thought Rossko bought this up some time ago. Peter Gunn 108 Report post Posted May 18, 2018 See where Wobble is coming from , i only asked the question because i didn't know any treatment was allowed to the tyres at any time , i don't use any liquid form of prep on my tyres only give them a rub over with a damp cloth, but on seeing Orakeis thread thought as it was being allowed would join them but thinking again to late in the day for me to stachanging my principals so like Wobble on principle i am joining him in removing my car
