kart.68
Sounds good, a few questions. 1/ Will the track be gooed with proper Goo not Scaleauto stuff? 2/ will the constant braid lifting be fixed?? 3/ Will a track call button be fitted??? Westracing71
Agreed track is in very bad shape. Braid lifting. Glued down with superglue so that area is now stiff and hard. Deslots cars. Power problems and still problems not address from last time we all travelled to canberra for the last v8 race. Unless all problems are fixed. Its a utter waste of our time to drive to Canberra. shadow_rusty
Firstly, sorry for the slow response... I do not believe that Goo will be used for this event, but I will confirm with Way2Fast tonight. An additional keyboard will be fitted to assist with track calls, and the power relays will also be repaired. This event will be on a different track to the previous event. That said, yes, there will be a working bee to address the lifting braid. Also, as it's on a different track, this will no longer be a fuel race, due to it being a dead strip timing system. Westracing71
If you dont goo the track then its not to the national ruel set. So your replacing the braid. Interesting as the owner stated nothing wrong with the braid. Yet its been glued down with super glue. We will need photos to show repairs of track. And a clear and full ruel set. Gooed track to national standards.
shadow_rusty
There is nothing wrong with the braid and as such, it will not be replaced. However, it has come loose in some sections, and will be securely re-glued where needed. Also, there is no mention of Goo as a requirement in Cam's Rules. http://www.auslot.com/forums/index.php?/topic/20241-2018-rule-amendments/ http://www.auslot.com/forums/index.php?/topic/20289-2018-cup-car-national-rules/ Quote Stolen from SlotsNZ Team ABC Team Leader (Ambitious, But Crap) Home Track Threads - Shadow's Semi-Permanent Layout & Another Rug Racer & Proud of It & Gymkhana Test Track Car Collection Thread - My Car Collection Charts / Diagrams - MJK Tyre Selector / Slot.it 4wd Gearing / PoliCar Rollout / Rollout Chart Generator / SCX 4wd Rollout / Track Wiring with Brake on Track Call
Sports Racer
And the fan near the fridge needs to be fixed before next summer. Edited April 4, 2018 by Sports Racer Quote May the downforce be with you.
shadow_rusty
The fan was at the top of the priority list, and has already been repaired... Edit: Just spoke with Steve, and he has advised that most of the affected braid was re-glued on the weekend with Quik-Grip. Also, he is looking into options to do with goo, and is currently considering the option of running Parma Pink goo. Westracing71
Not replaced braid. Hmm and no its not in cams rules. Its part of the national rule set. Put out by a group of drivers stating gloss gooed tracks.

Westracing71
No one is feeding sir. We just want straight answers so we dont waste or time driving down to a bad event. Last time we put up with the other track. Im told this is a different track. Thats has a few problems. We want assurance that these matters are fixed. With some proof
Stretch
How about volunteering some time to help instead of criticising a local track that stays open for the local and the passion for the hobbie Edited April 6, 2018 by Stretch
Westracing71
Time has been volunteer in the past with a no thank you. Even a current member asked to fix the track and was told no thanks. Hardly then makes you want to. We even suggest working bees which fell flat. With nothing happening. So i look into your own people attending before asking people from out of town or ex racers. If I'm not mistaken I built that track for a guy by the name of Bob Conn maybe 15 or 20 years ago. 1 Quote Cheers, Garry J Old age and treachery will overcome youth and skill

If I'm not mistaken I built that track for a guy by the name of Bob Conn maybe 15 or 20 years ago. i believe it was in Queensland at some stage as it used to have the sockets with the round earth pin for the controllers. I think it was in storage for 10 years or so before we got it.
