Purple Ferrari 250

Recommended Posts

Now, firstly, our family has had a very rough time over the last month or so, and this car was painted up, firstly, as a Tribute, and also, to help raise spirits, even if only a little.

I also need to say a massive thank you to those of you who have provided support through this time. Even little things like clicking 'like' on a post in Facebook have helped us in dealing with this.

And no, purple was not a common colour for a Ferrari, but hey, it's Purple none the less.

The photo's make it look much lighter that it really is, and the metallic in it has made the surface seem rougher than it is too.

The roundials and number plates were done on my thermal label printer, so hopefully won't fade too soon.

All the silver, was hand painted, and boy oh boy was that painfully stressful.

Unfortunately, I forgot to get a picture of the various stages, not to mention, when completed, but as the headlights still have not been fitted, there is still time for that part.

Anyway, here is a look at my very quick respray efforts, without being re-assembled, or clear coated...

PS. VERY happy with how the 'Ferrari' badge came out, as it was done free hand.

Great photo's as usual brother.

Glad you like it, and it was a pleasure to do, even if it was a little rushed to get it done on time.
