Hi guys, here's some pics and results from stage 1 run yesterday

The field still upright and vertical, some a bit sore, but giving it a red hot go all the same

Posted Image

We have been surprised with the reliability of just about all of the field, not one report of rims coming loose for example, the ones who went for the guide mod option benefited from those that stayed original as well, overall they're not a bad package for a class that, apart from tyres, a bit of weight and the guide mod, are basically straight out of the box and still have a lot more potential as a class.

Thanks for the round Craig, Mel and Gazza. Top job as usual!!
Congrats to Stubbo, Aqua and Gazza on the top spots this round!

That is down to the wire...
Its been a great series to be a part of and BIG thanks to Gazza, Mel and Craig for a top job in getting it organised , done and dusted and Also BIG thanks to all hosts, drivers and helpers along the way!
Really chuffed to sneak home on this one! Well done to Phil and Gas on the overall! I needed a lot of luck to go my way coming into the last 2 rounds to get up close to you guys. Frankly, at the end, I thought it was a 3 horse horse race, being Gas and Phil and alexis, for the overall. I guess that has been the way of this ups, down, downs, up proxy with plenty of surprises and excitement along the way and it just goes to show it aint over til' the fat lady sings. Makes for a great proxy!
Also, to all the entrants for taking part, it has been a mixed bag with plenty of interest and surprises with all four models showing promise somewhere, well done guys!

cheers

many thanks to all hosts and drivers/marshalls that helped make this proxy fun
Congrats to the round podium winners and to the overall series podium too

As it was my first ever proxy entry, not surprised to be at the bottom end, it certainly seems the cars are all fairly even, it comes down to prep and setup
look forward to the 2018 edition and improvement

3 points covering the top 3, how good is that?
A big thumbs up to the organisers, without you guys there is no WRP.
A round of applause to all the hosts, without you guys there is no WRP.
And finally the competitors, your continued support and enthusiasm makes this a great event, without you guys there is no WRP.

Well this WRP is done and dusted and I hope by some of the comments that this was a good learning kerb for these cars. Please don't forget this is the first year for Scaley cars and there will be some teething problems but as far as I'm concerned none of the cars had to much in the way of mechanical issues and looked good when they raced at my round. But hey thats for the other page.
Congrats to all Podiumites and especially to our overall WRP Champs Slo1quick , Phil and Rossco . To bad I can't manage a stage win at my own track , going to have to work on that. I have to thank all who entered and the other hosts for the use of there tracks . Thanks to my 2 colleagues for doing most of the work of this WRP and for posting up the pics and results .
Thanks also for letting me drive your cars as this will be last time Minto Rally Park in its entirety will be run. I'm finding it hard to pull everything down and fitting it up as I need my 2 boys for help and it is also a little to do with getting on in age. But in saying that there will be another rally track but only using the main board in the future.
With that said hope again you guys enjoyed this year even with it's quirks and hope to have it again next year.
Cheers Craig

It was down to the wire.!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for running this round Gazza., Mel and Craig .Stellar job as usual!!
Congratulations to Stubbo, Aqua and Gazza on the podium of the last round

WRP has always been a great series to enter thanks to the efforts of Gazza, Mel and Craig and forall the hard work of getting it organised. Thanks also to all hosts, drivers and helpers along the way!
Congratulations to slo1quick Phil and Gas on the overall! My car was never in contention for the overall,it seems that she liked flat wide tracks but hated narrow ones ,something to work on.What makes this proxy great is that there are ups and downs,6 different winners in 12 rounds!!!!!!
Congratulations to all the entrants for entering well done guys!

Thanks lads for a great round and a great series. Pretty happy with sneaking into the top ten with the Metro. Looks like the Aussies have got their game back too :)

Congrats to the front runners, back luck to Gas for almost falling off the cliff but it was great to see it so close.
