mattcrackers
G'day Rossko, Must say when I first saw these I was very interested, especially with the Aluminium chassis etc. Like you say looks like an awesome bit of kit. Hopefully they run as well as NSR, Slot.it etc for the price. cheers Matt

munter
1/32 Pricey though...will it be justified? Quote John Warren Slotcars are my preferred reality
mattcrackers
Thought the same John, seems like a few of the 'new' slot car makers are selling their cars above what most others are. I'd love to get my hands on the new Falcon slot car, the Porsche 924 JPS, but at $150 I'll have to give it a miss. cheers Matt
difinity
Matt - where are you? The Falcon Porsche should not cost that much...
GAS41T
I agree guys but I'll give it a try It cost me $111.15 posted from PSR So I'm hoping it's as quick as my race set up nsr cars.... I'll give my review once I get it on my track Rossko Edited September 17, 2017 by GAS41T
Vinno
They look pretty good value for what you get I may need one of these just to have one. Weight is 100 grams which is a good race weight assuming it doesn't need any added weight.
Caddo
Very good value IMO, assuming the quality is good. Aluminium chassis, bearings all round with metal rims, low profile fronts and grippy rear tyres. Great to see a manufacturer catering directly for timber track racers. As opposed to the flexible, magnet inspired crap chassis most manufacturers are supplying as standard issue.
BEEJAY7
They look fantastic...my only concern is the motor, which needs testing against it's peers. I have one on order to try out. Regards Alan
Caddo
Club is thinking a 1 make class, kept as standard
mattcrackers
Matt - where are you? The Falcon Porsche should not cost that much... Hi, I was just looking at the price on Armchairs site for the JPS LTD ED. Looks like the 'standard' Porsche 924 is $99. But the JPS one does look the goods though. cheers Matt Edited September 17, 2017 by mattcrackers
difinity
Got mine tonight. First up - finish is good. Car is heavier than I thought but should be ok. The motor mount was loose though - lost gear mesh when I turned the rears by hand. Easy to fix though. Turned a couple of laps - big slippery on my track but I'd say that will settle down. dangermouse
Put some slot.it foam tyres on the rears - that is what I have on my Simca and NSU and they go very well
GAS41T
That's what I am thinking foam tyres DM Great pics tony, very nice car I'm getting excited Tony what are the 2 screw holes for at the front of the chassis that ain't being used I wonder... difinity
I don't know. Think maybe to bring the front axle mounts inboard and onto the motor pod. What did surprise me was how narrow the rears are. Remember, is a 3mm axle, and the rims look fabulous, so maybe not change them..
GAS41T
If you have a scaleauto reamer you can fit any rim but I think the rims will allow foam if I'm seeing correctly.... Wow that will be interesting front wheels with suspension feel wonder how the car will handle Mmmmm
GAS41T
And the motor I've seen two ratings for them ... 21.500&20.000 What's your thoughts tony ??
dangermouse
The slot.it foam tyres go straight on to the rims - sorry I didn't explain that above. I haven't change the wheels on my NSU and Simca just took the rubber off and put the foams on DM
difinity
And the motor I've seen two ratings for them ... 21.500&20.000 What's your thoughts tony ?? I've got no idea. Says 21k. Haven't tested it yet and I don't have a motor tester. Will play with it a bit perhaps next week. As for the tyres, might true them like an NSR. That should do the trick.. manimmal
My two arrived today. Lubricated only and both cars fantastic straight away. I highly recommend these guys if you're running on wood. Whilst heavy they are stable, predictable and on my track at least perfectly powerful. I suspect the style of performance Revo slot have achieved with BRM would lend itself to iroc style racing at both cave and club racing level. Much less can be said for my Falcon slot 924 rubbish but that's another story. I read also that they are quite noisy. With this i agree, they certainly have their own note. I look forward to running them side by side as i've found the porsche shape in general often is problematic in close one make competition. Awww jeeez don't say that, I have both on order, the Le Man is on its way as we type. I was a bit excited about that and the JPS. Now not so much. Glad to hear about the Revo Slot though. manimmal
I quite like the 'Chinglish' on the back of the Superflo #24; 'No tigers were harmed obtaining airjpes for this car!' I assume an airjpes is a stripe right?? The 924 just sucks to set up is all, it's pretty and i've almost got it right, i just follow issue with issue. She'll get there Edited September 22, 2017 by manimmal Quote My mum says I'm an excellent driver
