difinity
Someone is pushing a tad too hard on the inside lane. Would be quicker to bring the power on a little more gently/less slidey...
branco
Well I must say it was an absolute pleasure to drive these cars last night. Well worth the 5 hour round trip drive. I left Tony's place before the final results were announced so I have no idea who finished where. This group were faster than last year's gathering so kudos goes to all entrants. branco
Ahh your capri.....quite unstable meaning it was hard to push. had tooooo much brakes. Wobble
Ahh your capri.....quite unstable meaning it was hard to push. had tooooo much brakes. Thanks for that Mark. (I was wondering what "could push to potential" meant). That's a 20k Shark for you (with the wrong gearing).
David Carter
I have had the results sent to me this afternoon and will get them posted later on to night but I can say they are quit different from the qualifying unless you are me and finished in the same place at least my car is consistent Edited September 14, 2017 by David Carter Quote Holdens rule the rest just drool slot cars are my drug, ATCC/Bathurst proxy host NZ Grp5 proxy host. Peter Gunn
Congrats to the top 3, and 2 class B BMW's at the top mine is the third class B BMW 5 laps behind the top 2 , wondering what i,m doing wrong , the Capri was just a experiment with a different sort of motor which also seems to be wrong hmm
SuperSlab
Thanks to the hosts for the very quick running of the round and the quick reporting. Seems like my car is the king of the erratic bunch! Any comments that the drivers could pass on to help me gain insight why the car is so all over the place would be appreciated. Aloha
Congrats to Celina and his first place finish. Really appreciate the effort put forth by the drivers, marshalls and timers. Onto the next event event and I put my money on Orakei. It will be fun to see how it plays out. David we do not say it enough but thank you for keeping everything on track. branco
Ok i'll try and give you guys some feedback on your cars performance the other night. I drove in blue lane. I rate myself as a very good driver but a s#!t car builder, yet in meetings in NZ I can be found near the pointy end of competition. Celina's car was a good solid performer but I didn't think it would be a winner. Peter Gunn; Capri was lightning fast but tyre grip wasn't able to count with all the power. However I really enjoyed driving the beast. BMW M1, my notes say "a bit juddery, but good" Had to ease off round some corners but certainly not as well planted as the top M1's. Superslab; your M1 was unpredictable. Would have a tendency to just let go on a corner that previously I could fly round. Aloha; Great car, can I buy it please. Can't fault it, from memory fastest lap by me, 4,250sec. Remember guys, there's 20 cars but only 1 winner. You all have built some mighty fine machines, but in this company every flaw will show its ugly head, don't be disheartened. cheers.
