Orakei Racer
Hi Guys DRW21 has lost the ability to post pics in Photobucket so I'm using my Dropbox to help him out. Apologise for the delay for Round 7, as we got hit with date clashes with other postponed Proxy events we were hosting due to July being a write off month due to a family bereavement. We have completed qualifying today with the aim of running the race on Sat 26th Aug. There is one clear leader and the rest are bunched pretty close. We note the Ninco tires used don't seem retain grip for very long even with our track washed clean ie expect some cars will struggle in a race heat. DRW21 did the qualifying, most of the cars were pretty smooth, a few had deeper guides that were bottoming out on certain parts of the track but to no great detriment. Should be a interesting race. As a comparison, we run a MRRC clubman chassis class with the MRRC 16k short can motor, most of our cars are running 5.1 to 5.4 sec laps with the exception of DRW21 and his son who have cars doing 4.9. Orakei Racer
DRW21 was going to post a update but not sure which forum he is using. Any way we have shifted race day to Sunday the 27th instead of Sat 26th as we have more helpers available on Sunday. So good luck to everyone. Quote Orakei Racer Slow is smooth, smooth is fast! charlesx
Thanks for the great round and quick results. Congrats to Neo and the other podiumites. Looks like Aquakiwi and I have finally achieved the ultimate. Second to last and last at the wrong end although I have been threatening for a while. Look forward to the next round.
