I cut the stock chassis down by 4mm to centre the wheels in the new flares. There's plenty of lead ballast in the chassis now as this car will run no-mag. Body is mounted - 2 posts at the front and one at the rear - and I am happy with the stance.

Running gear and paint to come. My son suggested a 'reverse Gulf' livery with matt black body and orange Gulf decals and details. I might give that a crack.

And we're done. Alloys all round. Slot It rear end. NSR 22k motor. Ultragrips.

This car was part of a very rough bunch of cars I got ex the UK and combines parts from a couple of badly damaged minis. It's now a smooth fast runner. The wider wheel track all round has made all the difference. Clearcoat and time trials to come but I am hoping this will now break the 6s bracket on my track.

Looks great Mac. I like the Black & Orange combo....

 

I can't believe my mini thread is at 3 pages - i feel like I've hardly done anything.... :D
