2nd quickest time in practice to 10th in qualifying.

Given the small decrease, I'm hoping that just means it's easy to learn the limits...

Thanks so far, and I'm looking forward to race day.

Hi Stubbo and John (FPR).

Thanks for getting this round off to a good start. I know why my car is slow Stubbo but what are you doing behind in qual. Are you trying to make me feel better or just trying to put Phil and his Grandkids off their game.

Looking more and more like a series trifecta for the Tassie boys,

Thanks to all who helped run the day, not a bad finish for my #10 BT11, qualy gave me some vain hope but reality is 10th, if nothing else my car is consistent, OLD 23 just got me!

Hi FPR and Stubbo.

Thanks for the great run. Quite unexpected but appears not all is lost even with my car's apparent tyre problems.

Congrats to the podiumites and also to Stu for Constructors Award. From what I have seen of the car (photos only) well deserved.

Well done to JB, didn't look good after qualifying but his car is so easy to drive.

Well deserved award for Stu, the chassis looks great.

Good results for Tassie Resin bodies as well!

Thanks to all at FPR for running this round.

Thanks John and all the FPR crew for getting this one done and dusted. Looks like a well represented club with a healthy show of hands on deck, top job guys!

Congrats to JB, Phil and the Grandkids, the Tassie folk are certainly hard to beat this year, well done!

Thanks Charles and Phil for the complement. Really chuffed to get recognition for the constructors award, I find building a chassis for these beasts very challenging and difficult, so this is very surprising for me given the number of great chassis builds this year. Maximals double hinged thingy is really trick and really well put together, I dont know how he does it. Phils chassis is very neat and goes like stink to boot. In fact, there are so many great builds in this field that have there own unique design features its great to see everyone making the effort, for persevering and moving forward with all of your great builds. Well done guys!!

Thank you everyone at FPR for the award, that is something to savour :)

Cheers Stu

Hold the presses!!!!!

There has been a glitch in the timing system and the results are being rechecked.

It seems that one car has a bright and shiny chassis that sometimes does not break the infrared beam.

The results are being checked again and again just to be sure.

More to come.......

Ok guys, sorry for the confusion. As I mentioned earlier there was an issue with the lap reader and during the race the #1 car had three laps that failed to register.

So after much checking and discussion with the drivers we have had to amend the results of Race 5.

It is still a Tassie trifecta but once again the Grandkids are showing us how its done.

Car #32 is showing only 18 laps on Lane 1 - but 32.66 on lane 2 - but the report says #1 car had the most laps at 28.34

Alas my little #30 didn't like yellow lane :( so it didn't emulate its fine result of last year

Hi , the Scozz Car #32 was a typo for the lane 2 . It is 23.66 laps not 32.66 . I must of typed the car number & not the laps when it was called out after the heat.

I also forgot to thank John C for his help marshalling & griding up the cars .

The counter issue with the #1 Grandkids car was due to the sensor placement - as per instructions from Trackmate. They were on the the edge of the 1/4" braid which proved too wide for the #1 car .

All other cars where wide enough to register. So I will have to try to bring the sensor in closer to the slot when I work out how to.

So off to Lenny's on Saturday for round 6.

Thanks Phil Yes I think that will happen on FPR . Could go in the slot but that can be obscured by swarf that gets pushed over it.

Amazing how long it can work well - until the one car appears that misses
