Sports Racer
I'm not sure if I can promote a proxy named after another forum but the SCI Touring Car Championship is open to cars from the BTCC, DTM, Bathurst and anything else where touring cars were raced. http://www.slotcarillustrated.com/portal/forums/showthread.php?t=97508 Cheers Paul Quote May the downforce be with you. curef99
you will struggle with the 3 TC category and will probably need some sub class. DTM are almost GT cars BTCC is for me the true TC Australia... well, it is a class on its own with the hard impact bodies. but i am in for all three
David Carter
interesting as I am starting a ATCC/Bathurst style proxy for early next year this proxy will be early cars leading up to what you are planning so is based around the cars we grew up with it will be cars that raced in Australia/New Zealand and will run on tracks based in these 2 countries so won't include the BTCC or DTM cars Quote Holdens rule the rest just drool slot cars are my drug, ATCC/Bathurst proxy host NZ Grp5 proxy host. It's the only car I'd consider capable of winning your proxy. the proxy's I run have a limited number of a certain car so is a first come first serve it doesn't matter what type of racing you run there is always one car that most will gravitate to Quote Holdens rule the rest just drool slot cars are my drug, ATCC/Bathurst proxy host NZ Grp5 proxy host. shadow_rusty
I'd argue that the Camaro is a better option anyway... ps. Will have to have a look in my cupboard to see what I have that's eligable for this... Sports Racer
Can you run a NSR Renault Clio sport in this ? , Sports Racer . Sure can. I got a bit creative and adapted the NSR chassis to a DTM car. Here's my SCX Audi TT. Chassis is a NSR Renault Clio. It needs to be trimmed around the edges but wasn't too hard to fit to the Audi. Sports Racer
Any STI is eligible. Take out the navigator and it's a touring car. I wanted to use the tracks that I'm familiar with, if any of them aren't available I'll let you know. Edited June 6, 2017 by Sports Racer Quote May the downforce be with you. difinity
Ok. Will think about it. I might also look at what my intl 32 Class chassis might fit... Am prepping proxy cars for NZ now so this one would have to wait. You should come over and have a drive sometime

difinity
Maybe not, but the hatch raced at the 12 hour at Bathurst last year and this IIRC. Let it in, and I may enter. Or I might choose something else - depends on time. Will run a round of NZ CanAm and Gp.5 to prep first... difinity
I'm thinking about my Scaley XC Falcon now - refitted with either a Scaleauto or MBSlot FR4 chassis. Could get the Subaru in as well if multiple entries are ok? Will know in a couple of weeks..
bov
Under the category of "I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure"... My SCTCC entry will now definitely be either the #66 Peugeot Coupe (ex 2011 / 2012 SCITCC) or the #33 Brut Falcon (ex 2015 CanAm Proxy) - yes, I'm big on recycling..... But probably the Falcon - it does look mean mounted on the 'alternate' chassis... Definitely not #99... Quote Cheers, Tony. There's only two questions: 1. What direction do you go 2. What's the Lap Record?
Sports Racer
Only 1 entry per person. There's already an XC entered so you wouldn't be alone. 13 entries so far, 11 to go before I start putting people on the reserve list. difinity
Now that's hard Paul. Do I fit the XC to an actual race chassis, or do I fit a good motor to the Subaru? If most entrants are using 'high end' chassis, maybe the Ford... Put me down for an entry though. It will one or the other. You should schedule a round, or at least a practice, at my place though. That way I can test which car I should have entered... BTW, given wood and Scaley, should these have urethane (MJK, PG XPG) or rubber (Slot.it or NSR) or something else...?
