No ice on the grass, so it's a warm winter...

Good luck to everyone next weekend. Still off enjoying cruise with family so may not get another chance to add a message. Good luck to team Slotworx, I'm sure the gun Cam with old fox Jim and anchor man Jason will be the team to beat again. Have an awesome time everyone and hope to be part of the next Enduro. Forget about the tyres s#!t , the cream always rises to the top .

Cheers Pagey

Enjoy the high seas Pagey. Looking forward to running one of the best cars I've ever had the pleasure of driving again. Slotworx is an absolute joy to run, should be another great enduro.

Cheers Jason

Racing last night was a blast...

A bit chaotic, but a blast.

This is the first time we have run 8x lanes at a club event, and it did highlight a few issues.

1. With 8 lanes, you need way more marshalls than with 6.

2. Even then, the marshalls need to be on their game.

3. Dave C must of been here in spirit as some drivers were having too much fun punting 1 car into 4 others...

Yeah, she was a bit chaotic wasn't it? I thought it was demolition derby night. I had two cars in the panel beaters and paint shop last night, they're all good and ready to go again. I think I might put some air bags in my cars and wear my body armour and helmet next time. Those outside lanes ends up with all the carnage in them and you have to have good peripheral vision. All in good fun though, had a ball.

Shop should be open by 3, but I'll check with Steve if it will be earlier for today.

Yep, totally misread that...

Yes, opens at 3 today, and 10 tomorrow.

Track has been vacuumed...

Braid rollered and cleaned.

150+ laps run in each lane.

Oh, and 1 the visitors will appreciate, the lane colours have been touched up.

Added all the teams to the roster...

And we added some colours to the lanes to reduce confusion...

Not the best photo, but you get the idea.

Results to come and a lot of close racing. I'm pretty sure everyone had a great time, there were no fights and I didn't see any slashed tyres.

We must do this more often.

Cheers

Paul

I want to start this post event post with a few thank you's...

1. Thanks Mitch for running the powercut / bridge / etc. for the entire event.

2. Thanks Steve for hosting this event, and fixing up a few bits here and there for us all.

3. A massive thanks to SlotWorx, without which we would not of had this event.

4. Thanks to the interstate drivers, a lot from Wollongong, some from Sydney, 1 from Cootamundra, and 1 from the middle of nowhere (I'm looking at you Jack), and a few from elsewhere.

For the most part, the event went smoothly, even when there was chaotic crashes.

And we won't talk about the infamous misplaced controller...

Anyway, on to qualifying...

http://users.on.net/~shadow.rusty/Way2Fast/SlotWorx%20Qualifying-2017-07-23T14.52.01.xls

Position Driver Fastest Lap

_1 Team Linfox ________5.131 ___ 2x Off

_2 Team SlotWorx _____ 5.200 ___ 1x Off

_3 Team VB __________ 5.311 ___ White

_4 Team Old Farts _____ 5.344 ___ Purple

_5 Team Way2Fast ____ 5.478 ___ Yellow

_6 Team GT __________5.514 ___ Black

_7 Team CarLogRace __ 5.548 ___ Red

_8 Team Young Guns __ 5.603 ___ Blue

_9 Team AJJ Racing ___ 5.616 ___ Orange

10 Team Devil's Cut ____5.643 ___ Green

Teams then were able to pick their starting lane based on their qualifying position.

Brooksy opted to start with the double off, and Cam took the single off.

Leaving the rest to squabble over the lanes...

Note: Green and Orange are gutter lanes, and we ran the event with Euro round robin to mix up the drivers a little.

On to the main event, and it was definately a Team Linfox event.

SlotWorx put is a good chase, but suffered a lot more traffic throughout the event.

We managed to be the "Best of the Rest" as we had hoped to be.

10 Team AJJ Racing __ 2257.702 __ 5.315

As a testament to the awesome class that Cam has built, after 8 hours of racing, the top 9 teams had a less than 10% spread.

Once again, thanks to all that attended, and made this event what it was...

Well done to Brooksy & Co , Cam & Co & Team W2F , some solid racing .

There were some beautifully presented cars before the race commenced , but the same couldnt be said at the conclusion :D :D .

Racing was fast , hectic & very very tight . You really had to think about where to pass another car or else it usually ended in tears .

Thanks must go out to Steve ( he offered up the lamb for slaughter ) , his car was beautifully built & presented & my fellow team mate for the race Vito .... i really enjoyed our racing , thankyou guys

Also Mitch .... How the hell he sat on the floor for that long i have no idea ( he really was the unsung hero of the event ) , Micheal with organising the racing & Steve for his facility

Bring on the next one !!! Perhaps we could get a few more clubs involved & make it a bigger Enduro event
