To everyone i met & raced with & against , thankyou , you guys made it such a great event/atmosphere . The generosity of all is mind blowing , seeing every racer willing to loan cars or parts to other competitors to keep them on the track is unreal !! I personally must thank Pierre for essentially lending me cars to race in Plafit 1/32 , Mini Z , Enduro & Slotworx V8's ... Also , Murray for lending me the correct motor for the 1/32 Plafit car ( it was a missile ) & Greg C for loaning me a fast cars for the ScaleAuto race & also the Plafit Historics ( both Pierre & i had to loan 2 cars from Greg as ours wernt quite legal ) , subsequently , Greg went home Sunday evening less 2 Plafit cars & now needing to build himself some new ones .... Sorry Greg Pete D , Thankyou for running a faultless race meeting , i really appreciated your efforts over the entire weekend Peter V & Deb .... The biggest of congrats & thankyou must go to you guys . The facility , the friendliness , the accomodation ..... it was all first class ( as i stated ... i am slightly envious of what you guys have there ) . I wouldnt hesitate in attending any future events at Mr. Slotcar !!!! Thanks to the guys from interstate coming down and making it a top weekend of racing There was plenty of good solid racing and a few Laughs which in my opinion is why we do this. with a few finishing touches like a pit area, carpet ,a big screen for the marshals this Venue will be the best in the country Well done to Mr Slot Car with all the work put in to give us a top notch track and to do it in such a short time i mean there wasn't even a floor down 2 weeks ago!!!! And thanks to ALL that competed in the event even you Rod LOL Also i asked Mr Slot Car / Greg C to put up the Results of all races so hopefully we will see something soon. I also have to thank some individuals for their time and help thru the 2 week build (Which we normally do in 3-4weeks) Chris Watts and Luke Shaw during the manufacturing process and set up. Greg C for taking over and handling the promotion of the MCN. Lenny Longtime for some Lane colouring work on the day before opening. Michael La Torre my business partner and engineer behind the staircase and helping with the build. Peter Dimmers was instrumental in the track layout and design. And was helping with the build thru to the wee hours of the morning on some days. He has an endless knowledge connected with anything to do with slot cars. We're lucky to have him as part of our team. And don't forget the wife ... (I'm a lucky man). Debbie supports me in everything I do. What a gal! She also painted the ripple strips. The longest straight section is less than 1.8mts. The main straight (curved) is 9mts long. Tony.A 8 Report post Posted June 13, 2017 Congratulations to Peter VH,Peter D and Debbie for putting on a great event and providing us racers with such a superb track to race on.To everyone that helped in construction of the track and the mezzanine thank you for all your hard work and dedication to providing a first class facility.To the interstate racers that attended thank you for helping make the event a success and it was a pleasure to meet and race against you guys.The camaraderie amongst all the racers helped make this one of the most enjoyable National events that I have competed in.It was a pity that earlier in the year there was a bit of back stabbing and politics involved between a few people and it was disappointing that there was no one from QLD or SA.With the floor to be carpeted,a second track to be installed and a drag strip to be built the club race area will be one of the best in the country.Looking forward to more National events being held on this track.
