Garry J
Ninco 1 Mustang needed a bit of work on the sills but fortunately blends in with the livery quite well gifs upload gifs upload Just a thought (sorry for side tracking here) I don't understand this magnet layout. This layout gives maximum magnetic attraction on the straights, where you don't need or want all of it. I think a triangular layout would be better, Just sayin' Quote Cheers, Garry J Old age and treachery will overcome youth and skill

ZeGas
Should be fine, I go a little heavier say 20 AWG remembering that it has to stay in the guide, you could strip a little longer and fold over though. ZeGas
I just measured some Slot.it Cable, it is 21 AWG (0.723mm). So in the right ball park, the 22 will handle the current, but you wouldn't want to go much lighter I would think. 24AWG takes the current load down to about 3.5amps max. A while back I found this wiki page which has helped me in sizing wire. Edited May 22, 2017 by ZeGas Quote Cheers Grant . shadow_rusty
Yep, 22 gauge is close enough to slot.it wire. Interestingly, NSR wire is closer to 24 gauge... Oh, and here's another 'top tip'... 50x eyelets - $6 They are a little longer than the slot.it ones, but they work well. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/50x-Copper-Alloy-Brass-Eyelet-1-5x6mm-for-Soldering-Connection-e-/162521318232?hash=item25d7068358:g:2tYAAOSw42JZHna5 Quote Stolen from SlotsNZ Team ABC Team Leader (Ambitious, But Crap) Home Track Threads - Shadow's Semi-Permanent Layout & Another Rug Racer & Proud of It & Gymkhana Test Track Car Collection Thread - My Car Collection Charts / Diagrams - MJK Tyre Selector / Slot.it 4wd Gearing / PoliCar Rollout / Rollout Chart Generator / SCX 4wd Rollout / Track Wiring with Brake on Track Call

dangermouse
I don't use eyelets anymore I hold the wires in with 3mm long hex grub screws
Caddo
Slot It also now use the grub screws for their guide wires in a lot of their new cars too DM. I've found the grub screw thread slowly tears away at the wire, eventually leading to failure. Maybe it is my set up error, but I generally find that eyelets are much less aggressive on the lead wire. A little contact glue to hold them in and away you go
