gazza 320 Report post Posted March 12, 2017 A couple of issues to address first up The majority of the cars great to drive and well presented, which makes hosting a round and driving 20 odd cars so much easier Some cars had minor issues and some major Some tyres were still not glued onto the rims, a five second job, but i'm not supposed to be the one doing it. The B-Nover guide replacement is a quick and easy way to convert over to a Ninco sprung guide better suited to rough and ready rally tracks This particular setup had the B-Nover just fine, but forgot to trim back the top part of the guide so it would sit flush in the existing housing, it also made the guide move not straight up and down, A quick trim and all is good Another thing to remember is if you are going to cut away all the rear supports to allow for the larger wider tyres, make sure you grind everything out, other wise ........ All good, couple of seconds with the dremel and all is good As i said a lot of minor problems picked up before and during the shakedown, still a few issues to deal with, but it'll good on the night Don't read anything into the total 5 lap time it was just as much me getting used to the cars as it was them coming to grips with the track. The speed is from a speed checker and is in km/h Anyway here we go .......... Peter Gunn 107 Report post Posted March 13, 2017 Not wishing to be dim lads but what does that speed column mean is that motor output ? if it is for a standard motor hell of a lot of differance in the motors.
Ontheflipside 30 Report post Posted March 13, 2017 Good effort Gazza, thanks! Glad the bloody thing got there in one piece. Hey Martyn. The box you sent your car in is very light weight and strong. Any idea where they can be purchased. Ideal for us to return cars in. gazza 320 Report post Posted March 13, 2017 Not wishing to be dim lads but what does that speed column mean is that motor output ? if it is for a standard motor hell of a lot of differance in the motors. It's the speed indicated by the Tamiya Speed Checher that i use, slo1quicks Lancia is at 39, while mine is 34kmh, with a bees dick difference in performance, all be it on my track, different voltage for different tracks might help explain some of the ups and downs on the leader board during the event, anyway it looks good on the spreadsheet. gazza 320 Report post Posted March 15, 2017 Managed to get the computer up and running again tonight (sh-it it's self on Sunday) so ran the latest three arrivals. With the weather not helping things as the track has sucked up a bit of moisture over the last couple of days. So again don't read too much into the 5 lap sprint, and as things dry out i'm sure times will come down. Everyone will have fingers crossed that Rosko's RS200 doesn't improve any more Quote Quickly read this post before it is deleted or i turn grey again Gary http://www.facebook.com/Rallyproxy2017

gazza 320 Report post Posted March 15, 2017 Thanks Gary, you mean that car is bottoming out? Over the years my track has slowly become rougher and rougher, so good ground clearance is always important, other tracks not so much. Yours would be right on the limit for my track, probably wont be affected on the others. I'm thinking it's time to build a new rally track Quote Quickly read this post before it is deleted or i turn grey again Gary http://www.facebook.com/Rallyproxy2017
gazza 320 Report post Posted March 15, 2017 There's bugger all difference between the Fords and Lancias, but it's good to see only 1 - 1 1/2 seconds separates the whole field at this early stage With different tracks, with different surfaces and layouts, it looks like being a good event Quote Quickly read this post before it is deleted or i turn grey again Gary http://www.facebook.com/Rallyproxy2017
