slot car tragic
Just a quick build, this started out as a glue bomb I bought at my kids school fete many years ago. I pulled it all apart and sanded all the glue off but left the patina of age on the glass area. Back in the early '70's New Zealander Ian Munt raced a LHD V8 MK2 Zephyr Sports Sedan at Oran Park. He eventually put all the race bits into a MK 1 Capri shell and kept on racing but a few years later packed it all up and returned home. His car and colour scheme inspired this one, Airfix Zodiac sitting on a Scalex Camaro chassis. Chris. 1 Quote Late Model
ZeGas
Car looks great, I remember the colour scheme but do not remember Munt. I wonder if that was the origin of munted, or maybe it is munter's pseudonym. Should have filled the Mk2 full of whanau, that was the car of "choice" in the 70's. Slightly off topic, how did you do the vines on the wall? They look great too. Edited February 27, 2017 by ZeGas Quote Cheers Grant . difinity
Brings back memories. I built an Airfix one as a little kid with a 36D in it. chassis was a cut and shut airfix original. Had putty flares and everything. Slow and heavy IIRC.

kalbfellp
It's just a mould taken from an old Airfix kit. Think I still have a body around, not much demand for them. Quote Phil https://www.hobartminiaturecarclub.com/ Email
