Hi Jan

the tracks main direction is anti-clock

but will be run both ways

it should be good in both directions

it is my first track and i'm quite proud of how its coming along

just waiting for the braid to arrive and researching Race Coordinator for management

Thanks

Hi Jason

Track looks more magnificent with each progressive photo.

Just checking, which way is anti-clockwise on this thing? Its doing my head in.

Whatever way you're facing, anti clockwise is is right to left

Yes, I am familiar with a clock and its direction.

If you stand on opposite sides though, the direction is also opposite since it has a flyover in the middle.

I'm no genius but the clock is a concept I've come to terms with. :)

...the old-school all agree LOL - you face the main straight and go left-to-right for anti-clock wise...

Carry on the great work Jason, it is an awesome effort.

Cheers,

Jan

Arkin's track has an overpass, which means you race anti-clockwise and clockwise on the same lap, the reason for I Am The Walrus' enquiry.

Accept Jan's theory about track direction in relation to the main straight, normally where driver stations are positioned.

Love Espsix point, hadn't thought of it from that angle before!!

My inability to tell the time is distracting us from a great looking track.

That paint job looks superb.

(very happy to be called young though at 55)

The track has come up amazing!

Are all the lanes relativity even? With the same amount of turns?

What are you using in the way of timing/race control?

The two outside lanes are 98.56 ft

The two middle lanes are 100.56 ft

A lot of time was spent on the design

with the size or footprint to fit in the shed with enough space around the out side

And the length of each lane incorporating corner radius

Marshal access / vision from drivers area

As for timing systems

I had a quote from Race Coordinator for there light bridge and interface and it was around 450$

So I are going to attempt to build my own arduino interface around 150$ with the Free RC software

I have bought the parts I just need to find a pc with Windows 7 and give it a go

I will probably be on the forum asking how to set it all up as I'm not the greatest with IT stuff

And also THE BRAID has arrived!!!!!!
