Pagey
Sounds great Werner , looking forward to another awesome event . Do we know the track that the event will be on, as the centre has a new up dated track or the main track that the last MCN was on ? Will be great to meet some more South Aussies . Hopefully there is some nearby accomodation and even better a pub . Cheers Pagey
Guest jazzbell
Not only the best Slotcar venue in the country Glen, the Mawson lakes Hotel is also a great venue. Shane

Arkin
Sounds like Mawson Lakes is the place to stay at Do they have Carlton Draft on Tap and is it walking distance or more like a hike to the track ? Quote Race Ya Later Jason
Guest jazzbell
Jason it's a 5 minute drive, just a little far for walking though. If interstate people plan on bringing family ,buses and trains are walking distance to take you into the city or where ever. Shane
Robbo_sa
Hi All, Good to see the announcement has been made already! Myself (and hopefully a few other volunteers!) will be helping Chris and Werner with the setup and running of the event. I know I'm looking forward to it, although there is a lot to do! From the discussions held late last year the Racing will on the new Webber track. If the number of drivers grows to the size we think possible, we will probably use the Brabham track as well. These are both 6 lanes using the Gary Johnson program. Hope to see a few familiar faces at the event. ;-) Quote David Robson Slotmasters 1/32 http://www.slotmasters.org SA Slotcars 1/24 https://www.facebook...ASlotcarRacing/

Robbo_sa
Hi All, I've posted the event on facebook. It would be really useful if those who are interested in coming could indicate as such on the event link. We'd really like to know how big this could get! :-) https://www.facebook.com/events/1663720770585821/ Quote David Robson Slotmasters 1/32 http://www.slotmasters.org SA Slotcars 1/24 https://www.facebook...ASlotcarRacing/
Robbo_sa
How quickly we forget who has been running and setting up the races, and preparing tracks all these years Well Bill, perhaps some people have, but not me. Pretty soon a lot of people are going to see the work you and Bruno have done. You should be there to sign autographs. :-) In fact I expect Chris and Werner would like to see as many volunteers new and the forgotten to help make this work! Robbo_sa
Accommodation near the raceway for the APC. research road is in a industrial zoned area flanked by Bridge road and Main North road. Both roads lead directly to the city. Main North road will also take you North to the Barossa region. Mawson Lakes has a small shopping village that includes the Mawson lakes hotel that is about 2Ks away from the track. It also has restaurants and Supermarkets. People traveling as a group might want to check out the service apartments that might become economical and makes sharing a car practical as well. Some locals might be happy to car pool depending on where your staying. Depends how independent you prefer to be. People traveling with partners might be better in the City or even the Barossa. Plenty of fine food and wine either way to keep the better half entertained. You can cover a lot of distance in a short time in Adelaide. The locals will always complain, but for those coming from interstate I think travel times will seem trivial. However, public transport is not a high point in my opinion. If you prefer public transport you need to be near a major interchange or the city. The city is best, as it's the only location that goes in all directions easily! Taxi or Uber cabs will serve most people best I think. A cab from Mawson Lakes will be cheap, plan ahead and get a minbus! A Trivago search for accommodation in the area, within 8ks of research road, under $140 a night shows at least 9 options with Mawson lakes Hotel on top. http://www.trivago.com.au/go/c5qb4n1 Quote David Robson Slotmasters 1/32 http://www.slotmasters.org SA Slotcars 1/24 https://www.facebook...ASlotcarRacing/

Mark Fox
I reckon it should be around 2 kilos min weight (that's 2000 grams or around 4.404 lbs if you are old school) Quote Fox
wwwace
Hi all, Please note that it has been decided to add one more race day to this year's APC due to a possible high number of participants. Therefore the official practice day is now on Thursday, 28.09. The Friday, 29.09. will already be the first race day followed by two more days, finishing Sunday, 01.10. late afternoon. A detailed schedule will be published in a few weeks to come. Cheers Werner

espsix
Do we know what direction the track will be run in?
Noel B
I would say the opposite way so looking at the track from drivers panel the cars will travel from left to right.
