I have built this car for the HRW sportsman showdown series

 

chassis - brass { my 2nd scratch built brass chassis }

motor - piranha 21.5K

gears - slot it 9/27

bushes - ball race bearings

wheels - slot it alloy on rear and slot it plastic on front

tyres - paul gage

guide - slot it

Body - HRW Harry resin

interior - pancake style with brass roll cage

That looks excellent and I know the paint work will be first class. Looking forward to seeing this beauty in the flesh. Happy with the handling?w

 

I can't even get to my track at the moment so don't know how it handles

will have to send to the USA untested but I am sure it will run fine

all the basic principles have been applied as per usual

thanks guy;s

 

the paint is tamiya royal blue all over then tamiya camel yellow over the top

this makes the yellow a bit darker

and tamiya bright red stripe

decals are just left overs from other builds

I've seen your work in the Tasman series, David - this is no exception to that.... brilliant.

Interesting concept for the chassis...

I understand there are principles regarding gaining an edge in competition - can you reveal some of the philosophy in construction? happy if not.
