Photobucket

Hi all,

I'm wondering whether anyone on here knows how to get my photos off photobucket and back onto my pc.

My old PC crashed some time back and I lost all the photos that were on it.

It really didn't matter as they were on photobucket so they were safe, or so I thought.

Now with all this BS about photobucket charging a 'small fee' ;), I'd rather p&*s them off completely.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Matt

That's only if you still have access

If you've been naughty and have this .....

Then you'll have to pay the ransom of $400 usd to access your photos

Quickly read this post before it is deleted or i turn grey again

Benno,

I have logged into my account and tried to download my entire album as you have indicated in your post above.

Seems to start downloading then stops and an error message comes up.

I've tried numerous times now and always the same result.

I have noticed that all my photos here on Auslot and elsewhere have the same picture like Gary's above.

I'll try to clear my saved passwords etc and see if that helps.

cheers

All sorted.

Apparently there's a problem with downloading an entire album at the moment.

You have to individually select and download each photo.

Luckily I only had 300 pics to download.

cheers

Matt

In other words, their master plan to start charging millions of customers who signed up for a free service has backfired somewhat, and people are now leaving in droves and trying to download all their photos at once, and chewing up photobucket's already meagre bandwidth in the process.

As the old saying goes, be careful what you wish for....

It looks like I can continue to use them for hosting my website images, but I will have to use one of the alternatives offered above to host anything I want to put up on a forum. Oh well.

Graeme

Thankfully I haven't used PhotoBucket in 15 years that I can recall and from reading these posts about their behaviour and charging decisions I would not recommend PB to anyone today, it just isn't worth the hassle of having to go through the same possibility again of being blackmailed into accessing your photos.

PhotoBucket = another tech. company to never do business with.
