Recognise This Gear?

Recommended Posts

Can anybody identify the make of this gear?

It has the markings B3 and 38. It has a 20mm diameter.

Looks like the spur gear from a flexi, but at 20mm, it's more likely a 1/24 plafit style gear...

Something like this...

Here is some additional info.

This comes off a car I have just got hold of that needs a little restoration. When it is all done I will put up some pics etc. but I would like to wait until it is finished.

The grub screw is 2.86 mm long and 2.77 in diameter. Don't know the thread.

There is some sort of plastic plug in the "axle" hole. The axle size measures around 3.3mm I couldn't get an exact reading so may be it is 1/8th? I haven't tried to remove the plug yet. The plug appears to have been inserted to accommodate a shaft with a 2mm diameter.

It was used in conjunction with an SCX motor which has a 9 tooth pinion.

That's about all I can think of other than the car originates out of Europe.

Interesting, outside my experience.

Shadow Rusty's idea looks close.

It looks orange in the pic but if it's more like pink, it's Parma.
