Peter Gunn
Congrats to the pods and interesting rounds great work Phil , seems the SCX C4 which i just bunged together is going a lot better than the car i spent a lot of time doing and setting up the Avant Scoobie, , really interested to see how the C4 goes on different tracks as i have a SCX Mitsi and another C4 set up the same way the motor in the Mitsi is a SCX 81B rewound by a chap in the USA and is looking very good all round very quick had to weight the car at 110.65gr to get the best out of the car so far. Ben_M
No Fabian, Seversl of us went backwards, just very short track that the smoother cars went well on. So I guess mine was smooth but slow? Ill take the stage win. Not surprised that it didn't set the world on fire, I made very few changes to it from last year. The car was pretty good on my track (it did win there last year) so it was hard to find a bad area to work on. Thanks for the work so far, getting close to being finished. Well done to the winners. kalbfellp
Stage 1 of the Historic Oz Rally has been completed. A great group of entrants this year, the standard seems to be better each year. Even Boss302 Escort was better this year. Even though it ended up on the Armco, but a few spectators soon had it back running. At the end of the Stage it was Gas41t's Metro out in front. The Metro just edged out the Grandkids Lancia and my pug,But very little between these three cars. Peter Gunn
Ah nearly forgot about the Historics interesting stage congrats to the top 3 way out there , not suprised with my car being near the bottom none of my cars like Shelmore park at all for some reason year by year seem to get the same sort of result . GAS41T
Hey, I just had to wipe my eyes... Thanks Phil, that is the first podium for me in tassie I can't believe it ..... Congrats podiumites Rossko
kalbfellp
Results stutter fixed! I off and it is all over with this very close field! Ross your car is very easy to drive. Grip levels seem to vary on this track, Peter Gunn, miveson and Cure all are lacking grip and suffered because of it. miveson
Ahhhh well, last again, however good to see I had the fastest lap, can only think that the car must of de-slotted and slid back in to the slot bypassing a section to achieve that result. charlesx
Well done Gas41T/Rossco and the other podiumites. Good to get this show on the road. As could be expected with changes to track my best time was 0.8secs better than last time. In 2015 nobody bet 10sec while Miveson this time did 9.5secs and S_R 9.6 with Phil 9.7.. kalbfellp
Stage 2 of the Historics has been complete. I did try to get the best out of all the cars, in fact drove the wheel off Mels car! Seems the wheel hub broke away from the wheel. The navigator was very quick to respond and soon had a new wheel on and completed the stage. Mel was not the only car in trouble. Boss302 Escort ended up on the Amco But with the help of the Spectators was soon running again. Craigs Metro was smooth and seemed fast BUT the time was a bit slow, felt much faster. Mivesons Lancia was fast BUT lack of grip meant it wanted to drive up the scenery! Alexis Spirit Pug was fast an easy to drive. The Grand kids 037 was very fast for a car I rejected for last years event! Another wise choice! Peter Gunns RS200 is fast BUT does not have enough grip here. Shadow Rusty's Porsche was fast and very smooth, rear caught the scenery a couple of times. Cures Avant Alpine is fast BUT like Mivesons car it liked the scenery more than the track. Charles's RS200 was its usual self fast but hard to be consistant. Ross's Metro did not feel that fast BUT produced great times. Bens Lancia is a bit over powered for this track. My Spirit Pug was fast BUT nor fast enough! When the dust all settled Rossco just finished in front from My self and then the Grand kids and Shadows Porsche. This year it looks like this class will be very close racing. The cars are now in transit to the Nations Capital. Peter Gunn
I,m not Rossko nearly sent one myself great little car , had a feeling you would be top gun again , looks like i will have to chase you harder when we get to other circuits but you have a good start on me last year i was 9th i seem to remember, this year i,m 10th so bit more for the car to do , still can't work out why my cars dislike Shelmore park so much. alexis in greece
Thanks Phil and congratulations to the podium holders. What a desapointment 10th on the 2nd stage i assume it was due to deslots or rolls,it makes me regret for the ballast i removed before posting in order to make it more stable.Great surprise the Metro i own one and could never make it competitive Edited October 28, 2016 by alexis in greece
