munter
You might have seen the rims and axles that imugford offered for sale? I bought them and they arrived well packed and quite quickly for trans Tasman shipping. I was a bit surprised by their size...they were as large as the Slotit 17" rims both in width and diameter. Thought about it for a while and then decided to work a set over on my turning tool. The pictures should show the story....I basically narrowed them to a 7.0mm width and found some inserts and tires to fit. Rolling diameter is 24.5mm untrued so I now need to look for a body to match the wheels with. Next I think will be to bore a central hole in the insert for a knockoff. I wont paint the inserts their final colour until I have a definite car in mind.....feeling pleased about the whole exchange and result.
