Laptimer 2000 False Start Feature?

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

Does laptimer 2000 have a false start feature that registers if you leave the start line too early?

I'm just playing around with it before I install the sensors onto the track and cant seem to get it to register a false start.

Sorry if this is in the manual somewhere, I had a look but couldn't find it.

Andrew

Not too sure if it does have false start.

From memory (and it's been a while) it's best used as practice laps software, rather than an RMS (race management system).

If you are after some "free" (donations appreciated) software that is a true RMS, it's very hard to beat Race Coodinator.

Thanks Shadow_Rusty,

I got with the 20-teens and installed Race Coordinator.

Nice system.

Thanks again.

Andrew

Hi Lloyd,

I ended up having trouble with RCS and crashing. Couldn't figure out a fix so have just stuck to LapTimer 2000 for the time being.

My computer is ancient so problem probably lies with the hardware.

Yep, my main RC timing machine is a p3 800 with 512Mb ram.

It's slow to start, but works well.
