miveson
I'll pass on my pick - I really don't need any more cars..... that should mean the new pick order for WRC class is as follows: First Pick: OTFS (Mel) Second Pick Ben_m Third Pick: Cure99 I'd like to say a massive thank you to Phil for organising another great proxy series. This series sets the standard for proxy racing and IMHO is the best proxy anywhere in the world at the moment. Clear and concise rules, easy selection and availability of cars, rounds that are run extremely well, with minimal time between and frequent constructive comments about cars with the right amount of photos and feedback. A huge thank you to the round hosts who really put massive efforts in and give up so much of their precious time to run 3 classes of cars. Many hosts run the rounds without assistance. And finally a bit thank you to my fellow competitors, it's been a lot of fun with a nice balance of competition and banter. Best of luck for next year Quote Slot Car Photos V8 Tipping Competition

By jingoes, I better give it a crack..........VW please. Thank you Peter and Mark! Also, thank you to all the Hosts, helpers and Mark on a prompt, clear and concise score sheet, Top stuff guys! Peter Gunn
Another great season in the OZ rally once again thanks to all who put such efforts into this to make it one of the best proxies around i know what it takes to do this sort of thing and i know i speak for all when i say well done, for me second to Slo is fine best car won , and thanks for being able to pick a prize, but this year i would like boss 302 to pick my choice as i would like him to have it , as his escort like Miversons Mini last year bought a smile to my lips and it,s not always about winning . kalbfellp
I forgot to Thank Mark for such a great job keep the points upto date. I have received some nice prizes previously including my winning RAID truck so I am more than happy this time to pass the opportunity down the line for RAID. boss302
Gee whizz - Peter thanks very much for your very kind offer. Whatever the prize it will be an entry in next year's event. This year was very challenging for me personally but I have to say I loved participating as a host very much. It is a privilege running such a large and diverse range of cars. Who knows - maybe I might learn a bit from the exercise. As for the Escort - I am going to try and turn it into something that people will enjoy next year. And I promise I will do a video next year! Happy trails everyone - roll on next year!
boss302
Oh - ps - I'll go the Snubie. And will enter it in WRC next year. Along with a revamped Escort of course!
kalbfellp
It will be interesting to see if Slo1quick can make it 3 in a Row by building the VW into another class winner for next year? Slo
If I can improve the car from 'out of the box' to a level that it is competitive and nice to drive for the hosts I'll be happy. If it can win a round... then that is a terrific bonus! I presume nothing and hope the racing is close... for everyone... its far more enjoyable! I didnt intend on running in the Raid class. It'll be a challenge! There is an excellent thread that Jazzbell did on tuning a car. It might be a different class but basic principles remain the same for .....WRC and Historic anyways. (Raids look to be a different beasty all together) Anyone know where a link to that one is..... Gazza??
kalbfellp
That would have been back in 2012,about August or September. You and others could just look at the pics and info on the podium cars in this years event! Might be a surprize on how standard some cars are. miveson
Only just found this article 2 days ago whilst doing some research for 2017. Peugeout 307 Review/Tuning Anyone have a Ninco Pug 307 (any livery) they want to sell me..... or perhaps a Subaru with proshocks? Don't know why the 307's are so damn expensive these days - even the butt ugly red one is expensive. kalbfellp
I don't think the Pug has any real advantage over other Ninco's, my Club race Mitzi is faster on our tracks. I still have another Pug in the box! Good build article BUT probably not a lot of help for our tracks. Thanks shadow. Now where is Ben and Mel? Ben_M
Cool, that was unexpected. I guess I get the Cougar and depending on what Mel picks my first choice would be the Metro and then the Corvette. Thank you to those who donated cars and also gave up their prizes.
